Aw give it a rest, mate. You read what the guy wrote. If the law says it's that then that's what it is. Have you got a problem with that?

As you are pointing your righteous finger at others, I have to remind you that you are part of the problem. A woman facing this difficult decision has to decide if she would want to give her child up to the system knowing that there is little chance of him/her getting into a permanent, loving home. If you were really concerned with the welfare of these precious children, you could step up and offer her another option.

You are not fooling anyone here. Your posts are nothing more than selfish attempts to appear sanctimonious.

Then why aren't the police arresting all those women who have abortions?

Why aren't the police arresting all those women who are having abortions?

...and why can't you answer that question?

....and why haven't you taken your "case" to the Supreme Court?

You are 100% mistaken, as usual. The problem is this lie that is being sold that a child in utero is not a human being. It is astonishing to me that people believe that nonsense, but apparently some folks don't think about it they just eat whatever their political talking heads feed them. Personal responsibility, or the extreme lack thereof, is the primary issue here.

    - - - Updated - - -

Because, Heavy sigh, a homicide is the killing of a human being. Abortion is the killing of a human being, but for now at least that kind of homicide is legal within some limits.

Okay, I get all that and have heard this perpetual argument for years while no realistic solutions have been offered. I have given you the benefit of being right on all your arguments and simply asked what solutions you are offering.

I am extremely grateful you brought "Personal responsibility" into the discussion. What personal responsibility have you taken? Its one thing to wear a pro-life T-shirt; its another to take action towards a solution.

Thank you for finally answering. After reading post after post of your claims to care about these precious humans, it turns out that you only care about your appearance. Words only move air. Action is all that counts. If you are not prepared to take on a 26+ year commitment, you can join the Big Brothers organization and mentor a fatherless child. It just takes a few hours a week. Do something! Be a part of the solution! Stop saying you care and start caring!

Since you asked, of my 5 kids, 3 are adopted. While they may not share my DNA, they are every bit as much a part of me as my biological kids. My wife and I are considering one more.

21 weeks is five months and one week. So I'm still right.

The "leave on a shelf" analogy implies that they won't need any care or needs at all. If you place a newborn on a shelf it'll die. So does that means its ok to kill it?

Yes it is. Anytime one human being takes the life of another human being it is considered a homicide. Including killing in war and self defense. The question remains however is whether or not its justified.

If it's a homicide why aren't women being arrested for having an abortion?

That wasn't the argument related to putting a fetus on a shelf. You've twisted it to something else.

It means that if the fetus isn't part of the woman and using her system then you should be able to set it on a shelf and it will grow on it's own IF it isn't part of the woman and using her body to survive. BUT the fetus IS using the woman's body to survive.

Calling abortion homicide does NOT change a thing, it doesn't matter what you or anyone else calls it , it's LEGAL.

Do I need to type slowly and in all caps for you to understand?
A HOMICIDE IS THE KILLING OF A HUMAN BEING, NOT THE ILLEGAL KILLING OF A HUMAN BEING. THAT WOULD BE AN UNLAWFUL HOMICIDE.

Slavery was once legal in the United States also.

So you agree abortion should be legal because it's, what YOU call, homicide? OK....there are other reasons but you agree to that at least..:)

And the Old Oft Debunked "slavery was once legal" crap.

Slavery was found to be ILlegal because it deprived PERSONS of their legal rights. Abortion doesn't deprive any person of their rights.

Show me where I said I agreed that it SHOULD be legal. You are getting progressively more irrational.

So, in your world, slavery was never legal in the United States?

Abortion kills a person, and in your book that isn't infringing upon that person's rights? SERIOUSLY?

Now you are just being ridiculous.

You have never proven that a fetus is a "person". You can't, you NEVER have....it's impossible because a fetus has to be BORN to be a person.

You may have your opinion but that doesn't trump the law, science, facts or rationality.

See that right there is your problem, a fetus is a person, logically, obviously, and legally (read the UVVA), so that seems to be the reason you cannot comprehend the truth here.

BTW, there is no scientific proof of personhood. it isn't even a scientific term, it is a political one.

That is where YOU have the problem, science, logic, rationality, facts, NONE of those are on your side.

So show me where science has proven a fetus is not a person. You can't, never been done.
I'll reserve my rational arguments for those who understand logic from now on.

Now I get it, you were just fishing for a compliment. Well thank you for what you are doing for the less fortunate. It is admirable, not your personal responsibility, but admirable.

And I will ask you are they called human rights or person rights?
so then sense you agree that the unborn is indeed human why then do you want to deny that human basic human rights?

or do you conceder the unborn second class humans like we did with slaves human but not worth of any rights so to be owned and do what you wish with

They're human rights and you need to be born to have them.....your silly word games don't prove a thing...

Why do you insist that a fetus have more rights than you or I?
