The evidence against President Trump that will drive his impeachment and removal from office has started to be over-powering even for Republicans in Congress. The case for Obstruction of Justice is certainly there and well as Abuse of Power in the firing of not just FBI Director Comey that was conducting a criminal investigation of the Trump campaigns connections with Russia but also in the firing of (acting) Attorney Sally Yates for her refusal to defend the Trump (Muslim) travel ban executive order on statutory and, more importantly, Constitutional grounds. There's even the possibility of Trump's providing top secret intelligence to the Russians, considered enemies of the United States, as being treasonous. I don't believe the question is "IF" Trump going to be removed from office anymore. It's just "WHEN" and how will he choose to go. Assuming the facts are as portrayed by the news then Trump will either fight the impeachment and removal from office or he'll do what President Richard Nixon did and resign for the sake of the country. It he resigns for the sake of the country and the American people then we have established precedent that he should be pardoned for his criminal offenses. If he refuses to resign, forcing the country to go through the entire impeachment by the House and removal from office by the Senate, then arguably he should be criminally prosecuted and sent to prison. The choice in the poll isn't about whether you believe Trump will be removed from office. The choice is whether you believe he'll leave office voluntarily and should be pardoned or if he chooses to fight and should be prosecuted and go to prison.
Evidence huh? What would that evidence include, if you don't mind my asking. There is no case for obstruction. There is no case for firing Comey or Yates. There is no case for talking to the Russians about civilian airline terrorism. So funny.
A tad early to declare the case over when the amount of public evidence is minimal. But I guess considering the trumpsters "LOCK HER UP" demands, its become a standard partisan tactic., Personally I think he's guilty of money laundering and tax evasion. I also believe there are a couple of people close to him who are guilty of collusion with the russians. But it doesn't matter what any of us think. Its now in the hands of the special counsel. What a relief.
He should be hanged, that's the normal penalty for traitors. Naahh, not really. I think it's jail time at a minimum though, and not just for him. He didn't act alone in all this. These Nazi bastards have tried to overturn our Democracy fer crissake
I agree, but I also see Trump guilty of obstruction of justice - as in firing Sally Yates and James Comey to derail the investigation. I hope we hear what tales Flynn and Comey can tell us - among others.
It will be the same either as Nixon or as Clinton all over again. The best case that DJ Trump can hope for is a close vote such as Clinton got. There will most likely be an impeachment. But it is unknown whether there will be enough GOP Senators voting for conviction together with the more than willing DEMs to equal a 2/3rds vote as the Constitution requires. So far only about half a dozen GOP Senators have voiced concern. There would need to be 67 votes. There are 52 Republicans. Both Independents plus 19 Republicans would need to vote for conviction to get to 67 total Senators. Article 1 Section 3. The Senate. Based on the words out of Trumps mouth alone the act of firing Comey was an act of obstruction of justice. Obstruction is a high crime and more than a misdemeanor. Ergo impeachment is warranted.
So far Trump's own admissions alone constitute evidence for obstruction of justice. All that needs to be done is run the videos at the trial of his lips moving while he speaks.
Democrats on the forum still aren't keeping ut in that they are not starting as many identical topic threads per day on impeachment as they were doing on starting Trump can not win threads.' Forum Democrats need to better organize so to at least poste 25 Trump will be impeached new threads on at least 5 different boards for a minimal of 125 identical topic threads per day, including to allow them to cheer each others messages essentially spammed redundantly on all 125 threads per day. This way they also can dramatically increase their post count, which of course is one of the core purposes of life.
The appointment of a special counsel was expected as a part of the eventual impeachment process based upon history. An independent counsel/prosecutor was appointed in both the Nixon and Clinton investigations.. This doesn't take the pressure off like Republicans want. The Senate Intelligence Committee is continuing it's investigation into the Russian meddling in the election which includes the documented connections between Trump campaign members and the Russians. There will continue to be "leaks" of the investigation from both the Senate and the Mueller investigation so the firestorm in the news media will continue unabated. Mueller does have full authority to subpoena Trump's tax records to investigate possible ties to Russia and there could be grounds for doing that. https://www.yahoo.com/news/house-majority-leader-2016-think-putin-pays-trump-225926138.html There's also evidence of significant funding of Trump real estate developments by the Russians, some of it potentially coming from the Russian mafia via third parties, since the 1980's. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...b6c1998b7a0_story.html?utm_term=.dc3df1c2283f Suspicions of possible money laundering and tax evasion could certainly be uncovered by the investigation into the Russian-Trump connection by Special Counsel Mueller. Far from the the Republican hopes that assigning the investigation to a special counsel will contain Trump administration scandals the scandals are going to expand and intensify in the days to come. Republican lawmakers are already realizing that their sweeping agenda for change has virtually ground to a halt because of Trump scandals that are emerging on a daily basis. Repeal of Obamacare looks far less likely and tax reform won't get much traction as long as Trump remains president.
Agree completely. Any so-called "poll" OP that presumes, "I don't believe the question is "IF" Trump going to be removed from office anymore. It's just "WHEN" and how will he choose to go." is wholly unfair, presumptive, leading, and designed merely to rally other frothing Libocrat "homers". At the very LEAST there should have been a poll choice provided stating that Trump will neither be removed nor resign.
True, so should the previous 2 or 3 Presidents. I don't believe in state sponsored execution though but that's what the penalty for treason is. That's been going on for decades now. It's a government for billionaires by billionaires.
Simply because they lost the election, the DNC, the left wing media and their zealots embedded in our government are throwing everything at President Trump, to thwart the legal democratic will of the people, so as to continue their own dismantling of America. Nevertheless, the more they throw, the shallower it gets, and the broader will be their discouragement, when in the end, as it is and has been at every point, it all turns up nothing. In the meantime, they frustrate the nation and progress, and as stooges, please only those intent upon anything that diminishes or appears to diminish our nation. Herein resides the boil of collusion and obstruction.
So, guilty until proven innocent. Your poll is fatally flawed, need, at the very least a 'other' choice.
The Dems & MSM don't believe their own lies. The onslaught is only aimed to promote voter fatigue. They're hoping conservatives will stay home during mid-terms, and be so repulsed by another 4 years of media driven controversy that Trump won't have any support in 2020.
Mere "evidence" means nothing to these morons. Perfect example -- there was MOUNTAINS of very painfully OBVIOUS evidence that Hilarity Clinton broke numerous laws governing national security and classified information, AND against things like turning the State Department into a whorehouse for wealthy international donors to the Clinton Foundation. But how many of these frothing, Democrat "Sherlocks" have the wit or the mentality to examine any of that?! No. Instead, they'd rather go on all kinds of witch hunts trying to find some kind of 'proof' that "the Russians hacked the election for Trump". Hypocrite -- thy name is DEMOCRAT! . "Yeah, sure, anything you say, Sherlock! It was the RUSSIANS who caused the stupid bitch to lose the election!"
You present a false dichotomy. Trump will not be impeached, much less removed from office; he will thusly remain PotUS until his term(s) expire.
There is a downside to this that democrats, in their Russian ruse feeding frenzy, are not thinking about. The same tactics used now by the Intel/MSM to try to take the ability away from trump to govern, and to try and remove him from office, will also be used if and when we get another democrat president. The cat is out of the bag, and leakers from within the 3 major spook agencies will plague the next democrat president. He will be feckless, unable to govern. An empty suit, one of the forms of a republic still in place, but Oligarchy is the reality. So now we cannot trust the House committee, nor the Senate committee, nor can we even trust the FBI to render judgment.. No, we have to insert a man who is of the neocon deep state forces, who was close to Comey, and cannot be objective anytime Russia is allegedly involved. This is the perfect man to include in this soft coup being run by the Intel/MSM Complex. So, when will these leakers who seek to take down a presidency, but just lack any evidence to leak, be gone after and dragged before a jury? When will that investigation begin? Assange, since he has already told us Seth Rich was the source for wilkileaks, needs to change his policy on hiding the identity of whistle blowers, and insert the caveat that if a whistle blower dies, and if that death looks suspect, that he will reveal the person, since that leaker could not be harmed, given he is dead. Then he needs to publish the evidence Rich leaked, so it is verifiable. But would MSM even give it coverage? I think from just observing their behavior, their faux journalism, yellow journalism on meth, the habitual black out of credible counter voices, we know very well what they would do. Black out what assange might reveal, for it blows this Russia ruse out of the water. And the Intel/MSM Complex are deeply invested in running this operation on the American people, to hide the vile corruption of this gov't and her agencies filled with people not voted into these huge powerful positions. Powerful enough to run a soft coup on an elected president, simply because he is not an open borders globalist, and is a threat against starting up a new multi trillion dollar cold war with Russia. What makes this even worse, is that democrat voters, are being complicit and enabling this Intel/MSM coup. The democrat politicians have to know they are a part of this coup. But it ought to make them nervous, given these intentional, planned, weaponized intel leaks will be used against them too, if a democrat president doesn't do what the military industrial Intel/MSM complex wants. When Schumer said on the news, that trump needs to be careful, for these intel agencies can get you 6 ways from Sunday. Intimating of the tremendous power these people have in these intel agencies. And his statement also said that they would come after a president. This is a huge news story. But it never became one. Why? The Intel/MSM complex. The control of information is a great power.
