Only someone of very limited reasoning capacity could come up with the above conclusions. Have your roommate read you the statement again. The threats are not the same. THAT is the conclusion. You just don't like facts that don't jive with your made up narrative.
I think those who want to protect their children on the cheap care less than those who are willing to pay professionals to do it
You guys... who is that? You mean the BLM that want to disarm law abiding citizens and have them depend on cops for protection, but when cops do their job they cry brutality and March in the streets chanting fry the pigs? That group?
No. You're dodging. Its not about WILL, its about ABILITY. You do realize that the more expensive something becomes, the less accessible it becomes, right? There are people in this country (a lot of them) living paycheck to paycheck, already sacrificing some of the things their kids need for things their kids need *more*. Just because they wont vote for your expensive programs (because they cant afford to help pay), you think they dont care? Sometimes cheap isnt an option, its a necessity. Legislating without consideration for the underprivaledged is what elitists do.
Who has suggested that? Provide the quote. However, I have suggested violent offenders be visibly branded... it would solve a myaid of problems and fit punishment for crimes of violence on others.
Since Teacher is already there, response time is instant. Most Teachers have a Degree or two, and need some additional training to become a ***Reserve*** Deputy Officer, this way you have additional instantly available resources. It is not about cheap, it is about fast response.
BM members think cops are better shots than Private Citizens who obtain CCWs. that is false. I know, my son at age 16 crushed the top police combat shooters in the state of Ohio in a match that required speed shooting, speed reloads and shoot/no shoot targets. So did I but then again I have been shooting competitively for close to 50 years now and had wins at the world cup level. However, I remember what the former Cincinnati PD firearms instructor said to Cincinnati City council about 28 years ago during a gun control debate He said: go to target world (then the only commercial indoor shooting range in SW Ohio) on a saturday afternoon and pick 10 people shooting at random. Then go a couple miles down the road to the Evandale range (where the CPD practices) and randomly pick 10 CPD officers during qualifications. And when you compare those two groups of ten in terms of shooting skills, firearms safety and their knowledge of using firearms for self defense and the law, I can guarantee you that the ten private citizens from TW will be better shots, safer and more knowledgeable about self defense laws than the cops
My youngest did an Annie O... she met a cop she is dating at a range. He was in the opposite lane. She out shot him with hers. Then, he lent her hisand she dusted him with it. Then, according to him, she stepped it down and reassembled it faster than he could. He asked her out on the spot. A Frank Butler type, good fellow, they do a lot of shooting together. But, with her .22 rifle, he like me can't come close to the accuracy she achievesat targets we can't see at 50 yards. She'd do well as a body guard. He claims she is his....probably is.
So is a cop in my kids school. They have dogs, a bomb squad and a swat team. Much better that ms smith from social studies
its better to have MS Smith and her Glock there when another Adam Lanza shows up than a special forces patrol that takes 15 minutes to get there.
well that is a silly comment given you don't know if Mr Johnson is a former SF ranger or Military MP or a retired FBI agent or a USPSA Grand Master Level shooter with hundreds of hours of teaching experience at a place like Gunsite or the Tactical Defense Institute. I was never a "cop" or in the military but I suspect I am far more qualified to deal with an active shooter than most cops. that's because I have had lots of hours training in how to deal with active shooters and over a half million rounds of practice-much at high stress, shoot/don't shoot drills and training environments BTW the PE guy/track coach at my HS was a former CIA operative who served in the PHOENIX program in Vietnam.
You dont have the mighty governments blessing. Without a badge and a uniform, you might go berzerk at any moment. Those magic items bestowed by 'the authority' guarantee you wont turn evil.
well its true that most BM members are huge statists and see the Mommy Dearest government as the well spring of all that is good while not trusting the private sector at the same time
