But but, I thought you believed in the leftness and their ALL Knowing WAPO.

Iran, al-Qaeda relationship is showing cracks, U.S. officials and analysts say.....

Iran’s expulsion of a senior al-Qaeda official appears to signal a crackdown on the terrorist group that has long been granted safe haven within its borders, U.S. officials say.

Iran’s ouster of Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, a former al-Qaeda spokesman and the son-in-law of Osama bin Laden, marked at least the third time in the past year that a prominent al-Qaeda figure has left the country after living for years in a limbo between houseguest and home detainee.

U.S. officials and terrorism experts say the tougher stance appears to reflect growing tensions between Iran’s Shiite clerics and the Sunni Muslim terrorist group, particularly over the civil war in Syria, where they are backing opposing sides.

At the same time, Western intelligence agencies see steps by Iran to preserve ties with al-Qaeda by allowing the group to use Iranian territory as a transit route to and from Afghanistan, U.S. officials and analysts say.

“We believe that Iran continues to allow al-Qaeda to operate a network that moves al-Qaeda money and fighters through Iran to support al-Qaeda activities in South Asia,” David S. Cohen, the Treasury Department’s undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, said in an interview......snip~

What would be more appropriate for the #1 state sponsor of terrorism in the world?

In the same time, some american officials like Hillary Clinton called for the genocide for irani people ("I will obliterate Iran") and the diverse crooked U.S governement created chaos with the 2003 gulf war.

My corn flakes this morning NEVER tasted better than today, lord almighty do I agree with this statement. After all of the thousands of suicide bombings, rockets attacks, stabbings, artillery fire, and shooting attacks by hamas, hezbollah and its other terrorist groups directed against other nations' civilians - seeing iran start to get its comeuppance is just delightful.

While I do not support the murder of civilians anywhere, if these attacks were directed at the government, basiji, or any other element supporting the regime - I pray they suffered horribly when they were killed, with many, many more such attacks to follow. For WAY too long iran has conducted such terrorism in iraq, syria, Israel, lebanon, bahrain, yemen, europe, saudi arabia, and even tried to do so on US soil, and it was long past due for them to taste this retribution.

As they say, whats good for the goose....may these attacks increase in size and intensity until they engulf the entire regime, with khameini and his cohorts suffering horrific deaths as they so richly deserve. Death to the regime of iran and all of its supporters, defenders and apologists.

The planet has endured almost FOUR DECADES of these attacks directed by iran, it is LONG past due for them to begin experiencing them in spades. I've been praying for these attacks for YEARS, and am hopeful they are a daily occurrence in teheran against that fake regime of thugs and murderers. Death to the iranian regime.

I support terror attacks against terrorists.

Many America soldiers died or were maimed by roadside bombs paid for and sponsored by the Iranians.

The madness is spreading all over the world and it cannot come to Iran soon enough for me

Look who's talking, you have ZERO credibility - when did you EVER condemn terrorism against Israel? NEVER, and you never will. Go away, and don't ever come back.

So what happened 70 years ago is an excuse for FOUR decades of iranian terror across the region and planet? And you claim other people are stupid?

To be fair, there are some iranians who despise the regime, and have suffered greatly under it. It is those who I hope are not affected by this and the hopefully, many future such attacks that will take place.

ISIS' mistake was not going after iran outright in 2011, rather than waiting until its forces were depleted in syria by the russian filth/vermin putie boy. That would have been ideal, seeing one terrorist group fighting another.

Uh, whether you agree or not with the US' decision to remove saddam has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with iran's terrorism and supply of shia militias there to attack and murder US troops. Iraq is not iran, despite what the iranian regime tells you.

I supported the invasion of Iraq and I was wrong

We harmed American interested and killed olr maimed many brave American soldiers.

But the Iranians were our sworn enemies before Iraq and remain our enemies today.

So I am pleased to see them killed whereever they are for as long as the war with radical islam continues

it is well known for YEARS that iran has harbored al qaeda, as for your laughable comment that shia iran won't support sunni groups, perhaps you should research hamas before spouting such nonsense.

Can't wait for the iran apologists to start deflecting, like trying to claim the US/Israel is worse, iran isn't responsible for hamas, hezbollah, etc. Same idiotic nonsense repeated over and over, like a parrot convention.

    Agreed.

The only people happier right now than you and me are the people of syria who have seen their families slaughtered by assad and iran over the past six years.

You and I might be happy or ecstatic - those people are f--king ELATED, overjoyed with happiness. I can say that for a fact.

My only disappointment about this attack; more of the regime weren't killed.

I can only imagine the cheering in parts of lebanon, syria, saudi arabia, istanbul and elsewhere over these attacks. The mideast must be emptying whole candy factories celebrating this delightful turn of events, and praying that there are many more to come.
