While leaks from within the investigation focus on possible obstruction of justice, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s writ – to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election – requires him to consider “matters” that Dems would prefer be left alone. He must conduct an investigation which is perceived as fair to both sides. While there is not much on the Trump side except inuendo coming from the Left, on the Clinton/Democratic side, there are a number of unanswered questions related to Russian electoral intervention. Some of those pressing questions are: 1. Whether the “wiped clean” Clinton e-mails are in Russian hands (as asserted by the Steele dossier) 2. Whether the tarmac meeting of Bill Clinton and the Attorney General quashed the investigation of Hillary’s e-mails 3. Whether the Clintons and Russian uranium interests engaged in quid pro quo and “pay to play” operations. The most important unanswered question is whether the Clinton campaign funded the Orbis Trump smear campaign and did they understand the campaign could be conducted by Russian intelligence? It is turning on them now!
Yes, the D's will rue the day when they opened up this open ended investigation. Loretta Lynch is in trouble and Lois Lerner may now be prosecuted.
Yeah, I have been thinking this for a while now. I don't think we will find any smoking gun with Hillary either, just more politicizing BS
I just saw an article where CNN is halting all reporting on anything Russian unless it gets approved by the big wigs. This could be because of the fake news story they had to retract, or maybe they don't want a reporter going rogue and reporting on the 2 point reversal the Russia story has taken.
I don't doubt it was for the reasons she stated in the article, this confirms my statements on the board that any Russian inteference wasn't about Trump winning, more like anybody BUT Hillary........... It's very likely it was personal because the Russians felt they got burned on the Uranium One deal after their company donated $2+ million to the Clinton foundation.
So true. And the anti-Trump crowd is going to get a big bellybusting laugh when this thing is thoroughly investigated.
They don't want to be jailed. Knowingly reporting false information with the intent to harm is a crime. Cheers
No, my friend. Anti-Trump crowd will do what they always do - smash cars, burn American flags, wave Mexican flags, break store-windows, urinate in public places, beat up on law-abiding citizens when in overwhelming numbers and riot... riot... riot... is what they always do!
It's been thoroughly investigated. Democrats are starting to distance themselves from it. I suspect you will disappear again.
Comey outlined the multiple ways in which she violated the law and then stated that no reasonable prosecutor would bring the case to a Grand Jury. Unfortunately there are reasonable prosecutors who would do so. Jeff Sessions knows quite a few.
This thread again? I think this pops up at least once a week. FYI: The election happened in November. The FBI has been investigating Trump Admin ties to the Russians since July.
Even as far back as April, Steele admitted his dossier was not founded in fact. Funny how the never-Trumpers are either ignorant, or have cognitive difficulties.
I can say with 100% confidence, the author of this article is as ignorant as they come. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2016_United_States_elections On October 7, 2016,[3] the ODNI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) jointly stated that Russian intelligence services had hacked the email accounts of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, and forwarded their contents to WikiLeaks.
There is no evidence, only a silly dossier whose author admits to fantasy. And even if it were true, it is not illegal.
You know, the only thing this thread is missing is someone telling us that no one cares and that the RW fever swamp is is playing conservatives like a fiddle with this dossier. Or something like that. Carry on, all.
This investigation is not about whether Russia tried to meddle. We already know they did - they do - they have done since the Cold War. There is nothing new there. With regards to Hillary's and DNC servers, how would they know the Russians hacked in if they couldn't see the servers and look for digital fingerprints? Clinton and DNC both refused to turn over their servers for investigation. Isn't that counter intuitive? If your house was robbed, would you refuse to let an investigative team in? If Russia did hack them, it speaks to their inferior practices and procedures - and Hillary should be jailed for putting it all out there for grabs.
