Such a broad sweeping bigoted claim! What does that make you, I wonder?

The paranoia and fear from the far left is palpable.. It's fascinating to see a psychotic break down being played out in public and slow motion.

The world's understanding is wrong then as communist Stalin and socialist Hitler prove.

The logic behind the name of the National Socialist German Worker's Party is that it was a socialist, i.e., LEFTIST party. The similarities between the Nazis in Germany and "progressives" here in America are striking, and since you mistakenly referred to Mussolini as a RWer I'll let him do the explaining for you:

"Anti-individualistic, the Fascist conception of life stresses the importance of the State and accepts the individual only in so far as his interests coincide with those of the State...The Fascist conception of the State is all embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism, is totalitarian, and the Fascist State - a synthesis and a unit inclusive of all values - interprets, develops, and potentates the whole life of a people."

"...in the great river of Fascism one can trace currents which had their source in Sorel, Peguy, Lagardelle of the Movement Socialists..."

-- The Doctrine of Fascism, Benito Mussolini, 1932

This hardly comes as a surprise given that Mussolini himself was inspired by Marx and was a prominent member of the Italian Socialist Party before he was expelled for supporting his country's involvement in World War I.

The interesting aspect of this claim you responded to is that when the Constitution was being created over a long hot summer with delegates from the 13 states the issue of democracy vs republicanism was a main subject of contention. The democracy faction wanted one man one vote while the Republican faction pushed for and got a democratic republic. This still plays out today with recent laments by Democrats that our form of voting is flawed and cries to abolish it in favor of a popular vote.

You do realize that NAZI translates to "national socialist German workers party" don't you? Or do you?

I don't remember that rhetoric being used in class, but I do remember reading what Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense:

Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one...

ironic that a Conservative would support the Czarist royal oppression of the Russian peasantry

Modern day socialists never want to be shackled with their past losers. Because those repackaged ideas can't sustain the baggage attached. Modern day socialist, like Bernie Sanders, seem to believe in their ability to restate these very tyrannical tenants of socialism and induce the public to believe they're in their best interests. It is truly insidious.

LIberals aren't liberals any more. They are socialists. The very antithesis of what liberalism is all about.

Yet, Hitler and Mussolini acknowledged the socialist roots of fascism and prominent European RWers such as Nobel economist Friedrich Hayek and Jean-François Revel from the Académie française have shown that fascism is Left wing.

More ironic still that you wouldn't recognize the oppression of the communists. All slaves. The only difference was that the Czars didn't seem all that guilty about their stations in life, and the communist party spent real rubles sending folks to the Gulag who pointed it out against them.

Neither system was better. They were both oppressive, and frankly, waxing poetic about the "beauty of the communist model" belies the real intent of structural tyranny lying directly beneath it.

Noting that there were fewer person oppressed under the Czars than under Communism should not be taken as an endorsement of the Czars. Its not a binary solution set dear, try to exercise your brain.

That's precisely why you never see me referring to Leftists as "liberals". They are neither liberal nor progressive. In fact, the Left hasn't had an original thought since François-Noël Babeuf uttered the great collectivist lie that "Nature has given to every man the right to the enjoyment of an equal share in all property" in 1796.

It just shows you how dumb these city dwelling leftists are. When you ask them where their food comes from, they think from the store down the street. They literally would starve without the people they despise so much feeding them.

It's not just the food, either. We grow the cotton and raise the livestock that eventually wind up as the clothes on their backs. We also grow and log the timber that winds up as the roofs over their heads.

It's no wonder why urban "progressive" bigots are the way they are. We all know who can live without who and who would survive if the **** ever hit the fan.

He's a clown alright and I would know - he's one of my senators.

Just last week he tried to tell me that the tax cut I will be receiving from the GOP is going to hurt me. I pity the fool on his staff who had to read my response...

Interesting anecdote. Went to the range over the holiday. Had the place mostly to myself. (Super rural park of N KY) Then this dude with "I'm with her" stickers on the car showed up, and proceeded to ignore like every safety rule on the range, shot from the TABLES, no less, and then wondered why I was super concerned and asked him to put the weapon down when he couldn't get his banana clip to load in his super cheap Sig knock off. (Chinese I believe)... Thankfully, no one was injured... Dude was too cheep to bring targets, so just stood there firing at metal stakes pounded in the ground. It was eerie. It was like I was watching a future "event" being practiced for.
