MSNBC host Joy Reid thinks that rural Americans are “the core threat to our democracy” and pointed to a series of tweets by liberal author Jared Yates Sexton that claimed Trump supporters “do not believe in the Constitution or any founding principles unless they're advantageous” as proof of her far-left theory.

She tweeted: "This is the core threat to our democracy. The rural minority -- the people @JYSexton just wrote a long thread about -- have and will continue to have disproportionate power over the urban majority."

I'll add it is those of us that live and work in rural America that provide the food that these progressive turds eat every day. I guarantee not one of the progressive tools of the left would spend one hour on a tractor or truck to help out should it come to that. Across my rural road is a dairy, behind and to the side of my farm are fields of corn, sorghum, alfalfa, melons and cabbage. Sure we're a threat to democracy. By the way, out here in Rural America our unemployment rate is near zero.

IMO, this reflects the objective of the alt-left forces who have spent billions, and invested years, in indoctrinating people with. Somewhere, the principle of "We the People" has been erased from the goals our Founding Fathers died to create.

Interesting accusation based on the natural tendency of urban leftist to dismiss rural America as ignorant hillbillies. The truth however is far different and it's rural America that considers the Constitution to be second only to the Bible in regards to what it is to be Christians first and Americans second. I assure you most of us are fully versed on both the book and the document.

 

Urban schools graduate far more illiterates than rural ones. And it's not even close.
