Hard to tell. he is a troll who pops up every few months to push this tripe. Usually its in the Science forum, though nothing he provides rises to that level. When challenged he provides dodgy sources, poor arguments or just silence. After a while he disappears, only to rinse & repeat months later.

This could all just be some sort of deranged game - trolls are borderline types on a good day. On the other hand, it could be legit. Flat Earthers tend to be as persistent as they are delusional. Living inside a closed logical loop immune to evidence gives them a sense of invulnerability to criticism. Its the equivalent of religious faith.

 

Nobody is stopping you presenting the maths for your proposed flat Earth. I know I’d welcome some actual facts and figures.

They know what the edge looks like, you and I are not allowed. Look at the Antarctica Treaty! We can go there, but only as "guided tourists". They take you to see the penguins, the alleged south pole, and then back into the plane. The airplane itself doesn't even have windows.

You can research this and see it's not bs. It is also the only treaty with just about every nation (obviously the treaty tells you who is in it), and it is the most upheld treaty ever. Research Admiral Richard E. Byrd.

 

Why do you look at the stars for the shape of the ground your standing on? Does your round living room light, tell you your living room floor is round? Does driving around your neighborhood, make your neighborhood round? There is not one alleged planet that is anything like earth. And the more they claim they find, the more this becomes clear.

 

Actually it's not. A ball earther thinks the moon covers the sun on a solar eclipse, but it does not. The moon was not even seen in the sky during the great American eclipse. And not all flat earthers agree on every matter. So quit putting them in a group that agrees on everything.

 

Why would anyone care if the earth is flat or round? In the last days God will send a delusion on all who "love not the truth". You are of those who "love not the truth", because here you are literally admitting that the truth doesn't matter and "who cares".

And the moon covers the sun because it happens to have an area of 400 times smaller than the Sun, but is also 400 times closer than the sun.

Wait a million years or so, and you will never see a complete solar eclipse again.

 

That's what they tell us. They also told us they landed on the moon. Now they're saying, they can't even get past low earth orbit. Even though they have far more money, this year alone is 18.5 or 19 billion, around 52 million every day, they also have far better technology. Yeah, they can only kick the can for so long, soon they will have to say, "we're not going anywhere".

Yes, the flat earth/truth seeker community, is not willing to do a "flat earth map", until we are allowed to explore Antarctica (south pole), because we believe they are hiding MORE LAND! Or possibly, "the ends of the earth".

 

I didn’t say anything about a map. You said the mathematics proving the Sun being 3000 miles away isn’t presented to people. I was saying you can present that mathematics here and now. If you want people to seriously consider your idea, you need to back it up with something concrete.

I understand the complexity of the claim, and how absurd it sounds. However a reply such as this, is just as meaningful, to say nothing at all.

Are you kidding me. The information is there, the problem is it was never taught. Nor was numerous scientists who opposed the ball earth model. The only thing that was taught in school, is the ball earth, and how anybody that thinks it's flat, is an ancient moron. Thus, of course that's what your going to think.

"We believe the reality, in which we are presented". Hints "religion" even in science. Or as the Bible tells us, "science falsely so called".

 

What does that have to do with the shape of the earth? The phenomena of the movement of the stars, we have never been able to set the dominion thereof in the earth. The heliocentric model is the closest, the problem is, it takes the observable flat earth, and turns it into a ball. This does not mean earth is a ball, only that the math is the closest we can get, and it doesn't all fall into place either. Problems such as the "three body problem", "electric universe", and so on.

The belief of the ball earth is exactly that, a belief. One pushed on the people with the intent of lies and deception, but nonetheless a "belief".

Observable evidence, is a flat earth, just so you know.

It's why the world knew the earth was flat.

 

Flat Earth theory says all observers are oriented the same way and that the Sun is always above them. If that were the case you'd expect all neutrinos to arrive top-down for every observer. But, what we actually see is that observers in daylight receive them top-down and observers in darkness receive them bottom-up. This means the observer's orientation is changing relative to the Sun. Specifically the orientation is rotating because at dusk and dawn the neutrinos come in from the sides and all angles in between are equally represented as the rotational orientation relative the Sun changes with a constant speed.

No they aren't. They use spherical geometry for trajectory calculations.
