So Judith Curry just linked to a blogger who is predicting another Little Ice Age commencing as soon as 2020. That's bold!

Don't worry. I'm not going to hold my breadth.

She's the Richard Lindzen of the South; or maybe the Roy Spencer of Georgia, take your pick.

Yes like WUWT she is indiscriminate with who and what she links to. Often linking to contradictory information which is poorly referrenced and supported

She sold her soul to big oil

Suuure!!! AND it reduces your carbon footprint by ensuring that what is grown does not have to be transported.

Unfortunately one garden - no matter how lush is not going to reverse global warming:p

Hmmmm - yes but has anyone worked out how many we will have to plant??

Reducing the population through abortions will help more?

There's no way to plant enough trees. Back when old world diseases in the new world and plague wiped out a third of the human population, vast areas of farmland across the globe went back to forest and jungle. That lowered atmospheric CO2 by a whole 7 ppm, which was a contributing factor to the little ice age. However, that's just 2.5 years worth of current CO2 emissions. So planting trees helps, but it's not even close to being a solution.

“The principle of science, the definition, almost, is the following: The test of all knowledge is experiment. Experiment is the sole judge of scientific truth.” - The Feynman Lectures on Physics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Feynman

There is no experiment demonstrating the claimed property of CO2.

    As simple like that.

    Mrs. Curry has no facts.

Fake scientist, no different from HASA, IPCC, NAS and similar individuals; the only good thing about her is that she is not covering her name and her face like the latter individuals do, which makes them no different from Antifa or ISIS.

I'm a Populist, and I fully accept that the climate is going to change, continually change, and that trying to stop climate change is, as Jim Croce said, spitting into the wind.

I believe 100% in climate change, and am all for it continuing to change.

I have long argued that climate must change. It has never stopped changing. That humans are peeing into the storm thinking we change climate.

It's like trying to push a log chain on the ground and keep it aligned straight.

This forum is awesome. No other forum in existence has some guy that pops in every other week and slams both skeptics and proponents of AGW sometimes in the same thread or even the same post. Great stuff.

    Must you misrepresent Dr Curry?

But since we are discussing the gas, called carbon dioxide, let's post true comments on the gas.

    Now check out Carbon Dioxide.

About 12 oz heaver per cubic foot.

If you drop an object of 12 oz into air, what happens?

Carbon dioxide simply sinks. This accounts for why it sinks into the ocean. Why it hugs the earth as plants make use of it as plant food.

Now for you, suppose Carbon dioxide was money and you compared it to one million dollars, how much money would you have?

Let me save you trouble. If a million dollars was needed, you would have just over $400. Does that seem significant?

Can't figure out how California stays out of the limelight when most of the pollution causing global warming is coming from their burning trees.

I truly don't know how much carbon dioxide comes from that, but suspect a lot of carbon monoxide shows up.

Yes, carbon dioxide is indeed heavier than air. Now ask yourself why is it that air isn't stratified such that all ozone is at the surface, CO2 on top of the ozone, oxygen on top the CO2, nitrogen on top of the oxygen, and then water vapor way up high in the atmosphere with the really light stuff like methane above all of that? Think about first principals here. You KNOW carbon dioxide doesn't all just sink to the bottom because if it did then all other gases would stratify as well. But they don't. Anybody know why?

Someone just posted that cutting down trees and burning them produces at least ten percent of the world's COv2 levels.Maybe it was a more general term, greenhouse gasses? It's probably more. No one even mentions the fires in Canada, either. How about Kilauea? Any volcano will produce much much more than man. On top of that, many lumber companies replant trees. We concrete and pave more land and wonder where our ground water supply is going. It's going to the rivers instead of into the ground. There are all kinds of things we do to mess with the ecosystem. Plant a tree. Stop wildfires. Stop volcanoes. Can't? Stop farmers from planting so you can have fruit and vegetables out of season. Don't want to? Ride the bus, train, subway or ride in a group. Too inconvenient? Stop blaming everyone else.

We've thrown good money after bad for many years with little to no results. The science isn't even certain. It's madness. Plant a garden or a tree and can your fruit and vegetables, then those farmers won't have a market and won't cut down trees and burn them for your food.

    Mrs. Curry claims:

Greenhouse gases are transparent to incoming shortwave radiation but opaque to outgoing longwave radiation. That's just how the physics of the CO2 molecule works. More radiation comes in than goes out.

Since she has no experiment demonstrating the claimed property of CO2 she lies according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Feynman
“The principle of science, the definition, almost, is the following: The test of all knowledge is experiment. Experiment is the sole judge of scientific truth.” - The Feynman Lectures on Physics.

    She represents fake science.

You have no solutions. By the way, you don't tell us what you have done about this. We are here to catch hell from you from the looks of things.
