Jesus murdered in the Infancy Gospel of Thomas, and god/Jesus murdered innocent children in the Bible, but I've never meant to say that all Christians are murderers. I'm sure some Modern Secular Humanists have murdered, but I don't see a Modern Secular Humanist book that says to kill innocent people.

Lots of them do. The majroity Of Christians will readily tell you that Leviticus doesn’t apply to the post-Jesus world.

 

I'm not sure of any evidence that shows that actual belief in Middle Earth is any different than actual belief in "angels", for example. They seem virtually equal.
