I've seen numerous reports on Fox criticizing some action of Trumps, and that is as it should be. What's more, I don't accept every thing I hear that supports Trump- there are people at every news point that write a story to show favor, and I do doubt any reporter who only sees part of the story. However I've yet to see anything on CNN that wasn't critical of Trump- not one single credit or recognition for things that were good. They act like that's not possible. We expect politicians to down-play the negatives and exaggerate the positives. News is not supposed to do that- when it does, it's become propaganda.

And "How do I know there is no truth" is a speculation without merit- designed to cast doubt. How do I know you didn't steal the car you are driving? After all, there you are in possession of it. It could well be stolen. How do we know there is any truth in your claim that you actually own it?

See how easy it is to use allegations to cast doubt, to shift voter perception? I didn't lie in that statement- I just posed a possibility that implied you might be guilty. Once such things go out in politics, it will create a trace of doubt in people's minds, and some will take it as fact without further question.
That's why such things are bad for everyone. Personally I would like to feel I could trust my government's actions and statements most of the time, and I'm not interested in the "might be" trash-hanging that has dominated the news for almost two years now. We used to be able to rely on most all news sources other than tabloids. Now, we can't trust any of them to give us the whole truth.

 

I'm afraid you missed a couple relevant points.

(1) Rasmussen Poll, FEB 2: Trump's approval rating jumps to 49%.
Between the SOTU speech and the FISA memo, the Dems lost substantial ground. More to come- which could add to the trend..
That will of course translate into GOP candidate benefits.

(2) The DNC is virtually broke going into the election period- only $400K total according to fed reported filings. That wouldn't cover the cost of one campaign for one representative.
Meanwhile, the GOP is flush with cash.

 

What's it say about Democrats that the only positive they have is that they're not Trump?

It all comes down to who runs the media cycle. With a record number of Republicans retiring we could beat Democrats silly with fresh new faces who make the midterms about issues instead of Trump

With so many incumbent Republican congressional representatives throwing in the towel after having endured the reign of trumpery since January, 2017, it could be that the neo-nazis and other white supremacists who enthusiastically hail their Trump as their "Glorious Leader!" are getting an even firmer, foothold in the GOP.

The facts are clear. Is employment better, the economy better, tax situation better? Yes. The situation is better than when obuma was in control. But severe intolerance prevents certain people from admitting it.

Employment and the economy were already trending that way. Go to bls.gov and educate yourself on employment and economic trends over the last 8 years. The economy didn't just start doing better when fatass took control.
