Since his electoral landslide in November 2016 Donald Trump has had to deal with spying by the Obama administration, a corrupt deep state special counsel on Russian collusion, a lackluster economy, a foreign policy disaster, and a radical far left mainstream media that reported negative hit pieces on the new president90% of the time.

Despite all of this bad news President Trump holds a 48% approval rating today in the Rasmussen daily tracking.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 34% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 42% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -8.

President Trump has a stronger approval rating today than media darling Barack Obama did back in 2010 on this same day.

Obama was a low energy apologist. Trump fights for Americans and they can feel it.

Trump continues to have his way with listless lefties/dems.

And once you see through the lefty media filter its obvious-there are 7 more years to come.

This is STILL a sea change.

    Rasmussen means nothing.

Rasmussen asks questions to skew the results in right-wingers favor...common knowledge.

Gallup is a respected polling organization - and they have Trump at 40%.

Also, why on Earth would I care how Trump polls next to Obama or any other POTUS? I just care how he polls now.

You righties need to get over your Obama/Clinton obsessions.

If you didn't put text in different font sizes and bold or not bold the text, it would be a lot easier to read. That said Rasmussen is known to be biased and you are comparing a daily tracking poll. These are not super accurate. You should look at the polling averages through an aggregator like RCP or 538.

If Rasmussen did the Obama poll and the Trump poll, it's clear that is a valid comparison. Any other argument is leftist sour grapes.

I'm sorry, but that is one of the worst misunderstandings of bias I have read in a long time.
If a poll "gives" 20 extra points, due to it's bias, to one party over another, then you can not compare the results. you COULD compare biased results of the SAME candidate over time however. And one could argue that you could compare biased results of the same party (ie Bush and Trump). But that is not what is happening here.

The only poll that counts is the one conducted on election day.

Given how hard these pollsters work to suppress the real numbers, Trump's approval rating is probably much higher. Sorry Barry....

And where is your link to unbiased, factual proof that pollsters 'work to suppress the real numbers'?

I guarantee it that you cannot provide one.

And don't try to deflect by asking me a silly question like 'prove they don't? You made the statement - you back it up.

That is according to one poll.
Gallup has (for this day in their respective terms approval ratings as follows:
    Trump 40%
    Obama 50%
    George W. Bush 82%
    Bill Clinton 53%
    George H.W. Bush 73%
    Ronald Reagan 47%
    Jimmy Carter 49%
    Richard Nixon 60%
    John Kennedy 78%
    Dwight Eisenhower 69%

President Small Hands is the lowest, by quite a long way.

Yep, and no doubt Trump's real support is larger than that; since this is in spite of vast numbers of leftist anti-Trump propaganda outlets endlessly hitting him with negative coverage 7/24/365 whereas those very same overwhelmingly pro DNC outlets overtly and indeed blatantly worshiped Barack Obama. The amazing thing is not only is Trump's approval rating as high as it is but that Obama's wasn't higher yet. It just goes to show that there is a limit to the effectiveness of leftist propaganda efforts when people can SEE the difference between talk and action.

Gallup routinely heavy weights Dems and chronically Dem voting 'independents' in its polling results.

Uh, if you call losing the popular vote by four million, and squeaking through the electoral college by winning 3 states by less than 1% a landslide, then the Obama "landslides" must have really unnerved you.

Even Rasmussen, which manufactures the polls to fit the results right wingers want, couldn't get Trump to 50%.

Trump has never won a majority in a contested popular vote. Not once.

You mean polling averages produced by polling companies known to be heavy contributors to the DNC? Yeah, that factiod came out back in 2016 and was utterly ignored by -- gasp! -- the leftist allied Mainstream Media. Go figure.

    That is not true.
    Ponder what you just said.

You're claiming that Trump is more popular than the polls show because Trump supporters are embarrassed to admit they voted for him............ This is a claim that Trumpsters make. It's part of their Agnewesque "silent majority" self myth. Of course, it's their way of denying that the corrupt petulant little man child they voted for is an embarrassment to the US all over the world and a disgrace to the office of the Presidency.

Well, how many polls said Trump was not going to win? LOL! I do not need a link, the proof is in the pudding, dear.

LOL...including Trump. He thought he was going to lose as well on election night. As did his whole election team except Bannon (apparently). I guess they were in on the fix as well - .
And he DID lose the popular vote by almost 3 million votes. So the polls were right (within their margin-of-error).

So you make a matter-of-fact statement and then produce ZERO links to unbiased factual evidence/proof of said statement (just as I guaranteed).

    Noted.

    We are done here.

    Have a nice day.
