    then you lock up the ones that committed the violence not the one you claim provoked them to violence because you can claim any criticism can provoke violence and silence anyone and everyone

    We will have to disagree. I think few have any doubts what is actually occurring in these cases. The question is whether the right to speech is more important, or someone not being beat up or killed is. In the US personal rights are everything. Elsewhere they try to balance this more.

    The victims, those being arrested, know the risk they take but believe free speech is worth the risk to their own lives.

    so if I say I don't like English fish and chips I think it is disgusting and some one that heard me say it goes out and throw rocks through windows of restaurants that sever fish and chips I am to blame? and I should be locked up?

    They don't like racist. Its a problem outside the US. They are not as tolerant of racism, especially when it causes physical harm than we are. Maybe someday they will be more enlightened like we are.
