Is this stuff actually going on in a great city such as San Francisco? HUMAN feces in the streets? Oh surely not!

Amazing that the "sh#those" city are the same places where finding an even modest 2 bedroom house is costs less than a million dollars!

 Keep up the good hate California propaganda! Maybe it will keep modest house prices less than $2 million next year!

Are you saying that it is unfair to criticise California?

California is wonderful! Just stay in the National Parks and away from the cities.

Only one good thing has come out of California in the past couple of decades, the freeway heading east.

    https://lao.ca.gov/reports/2015/finance/housing-costs/housing-costs.aspx

only $513,500 out on 2018 figures, 2.5 times the national average mostly due to California making it very hard to actually build a house so demand has far outstripped supply leading to the bottom rung living in tents on the streets.

    https://www.zillow.com/ca/home-values/
Is it any wonder so many people end up homeless.

    https://stran.senate.ca.gov/sites/stran.senate.ca.gov/files/homelessness_in_california_nov_2015.pdf

I'm sure behind the gated compounds California is lovely but the day to day reality for most people is very very different.

Don't burst the bubbles of those who live in ivory towers and don't have to worry about the little folk in town. They'll clean it up through regulations.

The bad news: A once beautiful city has been turned into a sewer where the air smells so bad, people have to hold their breath and watch where they step or take the smell with them on the bottom of their shoes from pavement covered in human feces

The good news: There isn't any unless one thinks grabbing a needle off the street and buying drugs from anyone nearby is good which could help them escape their "Shiitty" life.

Yes. Or live in the small towns in Northern California. Not the ones in Mary-Jane country, as I understand they are becoming little San Franciscos, but in the center and western parts.

If you ask long time residents that live in cities like Portland, Seattle, parts of TX and Colorado they may strongly disagree with you.

    California is just gross now.

Good luck heading into the ocean because the beaches are closed 6 days out of the week due to pollution.

And make sure you wear shoes when you walk on the sand so you don't get punctured by a hypodermic needle.

It is in part due to a huge homeless problem, and mentally ill people. If you want to look for causes. Saying it is because of liberals may not be the root of the problem, just a part of the problem, right? Not that I am defending modern liberalism, mind you as I think it is off the rails. Just trying to be an objective mind here.

I don't think you'll get much of an argument against stating "California has a lot of crazy people".

Reagan shut down state run mental institutions. That's when prisons and the street became the mental institutions. Very sad what Reagan did to the mentally ill.

The only way you could come to that conclusion is if you are stalking me and following my every move.

Do you do that to people often?

    Are you a stalker?

Reagan did turn out most of the people in state mental institutions. I was there and Napa had a facility about a mile from our home.
But it was at the urging of leftists (like the ACLU) who wanted them mainstreamed into society.

So they got turned out on the streets with nothing to do, nowhere to go, hanging out on buses, bowling alleys, in shops, McDonald's etc.
day after day after day. I doubt they appreciate their "right" to wander aimlessly.
It seems more like a curse to me.

lol.........good information. As it more than typically turns out, the left is usually the culprit of unintended consequences.

Been there many times, and it IS becoming a trash heap. An extremely overpriced one as well. And it didn't help when Ant-Man and the Wasp tore up large parts of it either. Lombard Street will never be the same.
