Exclusive: CNN obtains secret Trump-Cohen tape

CNN)Presidential candidate Donald Trump is heard on tape discussing with his attorney Michael Cohen how they would buy the rights to a Playboy model's story about an alleged affair Trump had with her years earlier, according to the audio recording of the conversation aired exclusively on CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time."

The recording offers the public a glimpse at the confidential discussions between Trump and Cohen, and it confirms the man who now occupies the Oval Office had contemporaneous knowledge of a proposal to buy the rights to the story of Karen McDougal, a woman who has alleged she had an extramarital affair with Trump about a decade ago.

Someone brought up if Cohen who was in NYC when these conversations took place and if during any of these conversations Donald Trump was in Mara-la-Lago, a felony was committed under Florida law.

Trump and his team have apparently put out a blatantly false transcript of what is on the tape, a transcript which has Trump advising Cohen to pay by check and not cash when it is clear from the tape that Trump was talking about paying by cash while Cohen was talking, and then Cohen was quick to say "No! No, no, no, no, no. I got-", and then Trump said "check," and that's about when the recording cuts off.

When did I say I believed in collusion? I said I was open to it, upon showing evidence. Factual evidence most importantly.

Lol. Okay, so those remarks were a little strong and hot heated at the time of the Helsinki utter farce. Not taking anything away from the President's words. I'll clarify for the record: What he said and how he said it was deeply troubling. However, in of itself not necessarily 'evidence' of anything. It is evidence that the possibility exists, and I'm willing to give Mueller/Rosenstein the opportunity to find it if it does.

What? There is NO chance Trump could or would become president. He would NEVER run in a Republican primary, couldn't possible win one state in the primary, and beyond that would be totally obliterated in the general election. Nearly 1000 polls - no exceptions - prove that Hilary Clinton now is president.

I think all conversations by anyone with any lawyer should be required to be video taped and required to be posted online. The exception would be all conversations with any prosecutors should be strictly confidential and never be allowed to be seen by anyone. Only corrupt and criminal people who have something to hide or hate all prosecutors would oppose this.

This is a non issue, pretty sure that no one who wants to vote for Trump will be moved away by this, likewise everyone who cares about this was already against Trump.

Gotta be honest, this does a lot more to help out Trumps' narrative of "Fake News" and "CNN is a Democratic Organization" than anything else.

If there are tapes about Russian collusion, I'd like to hear, but this kinda stuff isn't an issue to me at all. It's basically the same thing as the Obama administration "Benghazi Tapes" or the "Hot Mic" or anything else like that.

If Dems think this is the lynchpin, I wouldn't hold your breath.
