LA Times Admits Australian-Style Gun Control Would Do Nothing

My carry is *llegal on these places but here the line between legal and illegal is very wide, no thin. My car windows are fully tinted. That's illegal. But I never got violated for this.

Leaving aside the equivalence arguments, is your carry illegal or not?

 

Like I said, I have a permit, but firearms are not allowed on public places like bars, restaurants, political gatherings, stadiums and such. And that's even in the US.

If you try and bring a Glock on a baseball game, is that legal, even though you have a license?

Explain then how, 1993-present, the number of gun in the US increased by tens of millions, while the number of gun-related crimes, including homicide, fell 55%.

Australians are still allowed to own semiauto handguns with ten round magazines. A pair of those was sufficient to kill 30 people in a mass shooting in the US at Virginia Tech.

the problem is you engage in evasive nonstop bob and weave. You bray that states with lax gun control have higher gun deaths and you do so by intermingling homicides with suicides (red states with more freedom have more retirees, white males and military-all of which have higher suicide rates). when you are asked what gun control laws reduce deaths, you never ever come up with a consistent or honest answer. You spew worthless crap "gun control saves lives"

then you fluff, praise and broadcast how places like Japan or England have much lower rates of gun violence. They have well known gun bans. The stuff you claim you want here-really cannot exist in those countries. Like Universal background checks or waiting periods. They don't have those things because 1) private citizens cannot sell guns to each other and 2) in most cases, they cannot buy guns period-handguns are completely banned along with semi auto long guns for the most part. So when you praise those other nations, you are approving their gun bans. But you throw tantrums when I or other posters note you support those bans.

You cannot have it both ways. If you try to castigate American gun laws by comparing them to countries or states that have gun bans, you are supporting those gun bans.

We are still waiting to hear your extensive and detailed plan to reduce gun deaths in the US.

Your history of blaming all gun violence on black americans is well documented. You can deny it now because it makes you look racist but it is the truth. You don't want black people to own guns.

I ask you to prove it. and rather even attempt to do that-you engage in silly evasion and demand I proffer some plan to reduce gun deaths. which is dishonest and silly. SO I don't have a "plan" other than better enforcement of laws that punish gun deaths

 

you get caught pretending you don't support gun bans while praising gun banners and you throw a pathetic race card. Everyone who has followed my posting history knows I have never made any statement saying lawful blacks should be denied gun ownership. Its you who want to ban blacks from owning guns. Its easy to prove. You are constantly squealing for registration and background checks of private sellers. Black males have much higher rates of criminal records than whites. Registration and background checks are fluffed by you as reducing criminals owning guns. if that is true, it will have a disproportionate impact on blacks.

Please state your detailed plan to reduce gun deaths in this country.

You are constantly asking people for evidence to show that their gun control laws will work. Here is your chance to show your plan in detail about how we should handle this problem. If you fail to do so there are only two conclusions:

1) You do not have a plan and you do not care that we have 25 times the gun death rate of other develped countries.

2) Or your plan is to ban guns to all minorities who you have FREQUENTLY blamed for all the gun violence in this country.

Time to step up. Present your detailed plan for all of us to see or we will have to make our own conclusions.
