the republican changes that stopped Democrats from filibustering the confirmation

republicans in power are the only ones slinging poo, they love the smell it seems (did we really want to go there?)

so you believe if a credible accusation is made about a teacher applying for a job at your child's school, they should hire them anyways?

Yeah well, democrats don't really matter, but they are allowed access to congress. Think of it like telling a spoiled kid throwing a tantrum in the candy aisle because they were told they can't have any candy.

New rules, dude. We win, you lose.

Will democrats use rule Rule 22 if they gain power again? Probably. All theoretical of course, but it is possible.

Problem, I didn't find Ford credible. Her puppy dog eyes and her whining voice didn't convince me of anything other than she's damaged. But I already knew that prior to her testimony. I just didn't know the extent of it. If Feinstein were a decent and compassionate person(she isn't), she would've referred Ford to some mental health people and got her help.

The allegations of rape though have no real merit. Also it was the Senate not Trump who placed him on the Supreme Court.

Answer the ****** question, Should you HAVE to hire a suspected child molester to teach at your daughter's school because he is just suspected and not convicted? The comparison is exactly the same. I really don't care if you found her credible or not as I am quite convinced that if God himself would have come down in all his glory to attest for her you would wonder when God had become a ******* cuck.

she passed a lie detector test and told people of the assault before he was selected as a judge, unless she was physic, no reason for her to make this up

Have you considered the fact Ford was a nothingburger Feinstein trotted out to delay the confirmation.
First it was 4000 pages of previously unread documents that for some reason the democrats could not plow through in three days.
    then it was,
hundreds of thousands of documents that they had not asked for until the very last minute
then at the very last second,
Feinstein's squawking that she had proof that Kavanaugh was a rapist. Enter Ford with no substantiation of anything.
    then a few days later,
another unsubstantiated claim from 36 years ago. No witnesses, dates, or locations.
    then,
Enter the creepy porn lawyer that really pushed it over the top with another claim from a (woman)? who doubled back on her accusations of rape trains faster than creepy porn lawyer could change shiny suitcoats and get his mug in front of CNN and MSNBC.
Then the cry from the democrats,
    "What's the rush?"
"we need a short FBI investigation. Anita Hill's only took three days."
Knowing the FBI cannot affirm or deny any claims made under oath, and Kavanaugh and Ford's had just provided hours of testimony, the Republicans gave in once again and gave the democrats one week, wisely limiting it the legitimate current claims eliminating any other crazy's from coming forward understanding those claims should have been made months ago.

So are we to squawk here about Ford, or understand the delay tactics by the dems was all for naught and this deal is done.

$700,000 plus the other perks of being the one to take down a conservative judge.

yeah, she planned this all those year ago, just hoping he would someday be selected by Trump to be put on the SC, passed a lie detector test... and he just happened to be described as a drunk and his friend she named just happens to be a recovering drunk?

he tried to mislead the public about his choir boy past...

Is that what you tell the bank when they come and take your house and your car. What will that do to your credit? Nope, you haven’t got a clue about credit.

I think he said surreptitiously that he ain't gonna be the bank, but is leaving the lending to professionals.

If you're a non-professional lending people money you have to be willing to do what the loan sharks do -- bust people up who don't pay and hurt them physically.

I don't owe the bank, they owe me.

I am not creditor, I am a lender.
And when the banks I lent to defaulted on half of my net worth in debt, there wasn't a single thing I could about it.

And if a banker asks you to repay and you declare bankruptcy....what is he going to do?

All of two questions, none of which dealing with the factor at hand and her refusal to give her therapist notes. You sure do know where to put misplaced faith. A Judge for 28 years, or a girl you never heard of until late September.

(Also, Kavanaugh was discussed as a possible pick for Romney in 2012, so there's that.)

Let me answer a question, with a question: If I don't believe Christine Ford(and I don't), what possible reason would I have to suspect Justice Kavanaugh of any wrongdoing? The answer is that I would have none and I don't have any. She continued to show it with her actions, by not following the legal steps.

Christine Ford nearly succeeded in taking us back to the Salem Witch Hunt days, that would've been a blow to America.

They take your assets and liquidate them and your credit will be mud, and good luck getting any loans anytime soon.

    Credit 101

The US defaulting on loans have even a greater ramification/impact, but go on and close your eyes to it.

Trump,of course, won nothing at all, as he is a lame duck president. This was all on the Senate, which only allows trump to remain president for now.

China doesn't have a lot in the way of US assets to take.
The US on the other hand has plenty of Chinese assets to take.
They are big investor in America. Typically they have double the US investment than America has Chinese investment.

So anything they can confiscate from you, you can confiscate double from them in return.

    Maths 101.

The impact of America defaulting is not greater for America than the impact for China of trying to screw America.
    It cuts both ways.
Good luck with the Chinese getting anyone to sell bonds and stocks to them.

    Credit 101

The tail doesn't wag the dog mate.
You are not negotiating from a position of weakness.
No matter how much you would like that to be the case, it simply isn't.

    Common sense 101.

    Winning 101.
Are you tired of winning yet? Because I think you are. I think you would prefer some good old fashioned losing.
You've got Winning 101, but you are more at home with losing 101.
And you would actively prefer to see China beat America. Because you like them more than your own people.
As a foreigner, I have to say, that is some ugly **** to see in a country.

Divide. Seek independence. You have no desire to nation with these people. Separate.
Instead of trying to **** them up. **** off. Leave them alone. Go your own way.

Are you talking about this Supreme Court justice?

The nomination of a conservative judge by a conservative President is a duty, not an accomplishment. That nomination is simply expected.

The confirmation process when the President's party controls the Senate is also a duty, not an accomplishment. The Republicans held all the cards. The result is the confirmation of a partisan, belligerent, and weepy nominee because that is the kind of man Trump nominated.

The idea that Trump's fans are celebrating this as an accomplishment is an indication of their desperation. With Trump they are looking for something, anything, to celebrate and there are slim pickings.
