Are you suggesting we should start letting certain types of people to die in the streets?

Stupid thing to say? What a stupid thing to say.
The worst decision is no decision. You can correct a mistake, you can alter a course, but to sit still is always to go backwards- time leaves you behind.

Imagine sending a crew of men out to pick a crop of tomatoes- and 10 days later they are all still arguing about the conditions, who is boss, who starts where, bla-bla- and all the tomatoes have rotted on the vine. That is the standard democratic approach to problem solving- talk it to death with meaningless BS, then in the face of crisis, pass some half-assed patch that screws everybody.

Trump haters seem to always thing that the metric is their personal satisfaction- and often that seems to require being able to find away around the accepting the image of arrogant jackasses they made of themselves during the election, when Trump had the audacity to win after they all announced he was a joke, and he would be the laughing stock of the country.
Well- Give it up. Trump won, just as Obama did. I voted for Obama, and I'm sorry and ashamed as he turned out to be a fraud. He kept a polished public image, and didn't let you see who he really was- which we are still learning wasn't legit. Trump is open; what you see is what you get. While it's true that he has rough edges, at least he is getting things done- and most major publications (assuming you throw out CNN and friends) admit it. Rasmussen stated Trump had a "Shockingly long list of accomplishments" in his first year.
If you aren't aware of them, stop snorting CNN sound-bites and things will clear up.

And the easiest way to make everyone rich is to steal from those who have the most.
The easiest way to get cheap labor is to start a new slave system.
And the easiest way to destroy freedom is to elect more democrats.

What if everyone doesn't want what you think is for their own good?
I have ideas about what is best for your own good too. Lucky for you, my character doesn't allow me to impose that on you.

I don't need CNN. I just watch him speak, denigrate people, and tweet nonsense. And I don't need lectures from the flock. But thanks anyway.

You need something, allright. You need to realize that you are like an armchair quarterback munching nachos and beer, telling the pros on TV that the way they call the hike is all wrong, and so they are idiots. You are simply not qualified to pass judgment on Trump- because everything he has done in life exceeds anything you have even dreamed of doing.
Of course you don't like it. It's way out of your class.

A more complete misunderstanding of the situation could not be stated. 1st insurance companies are not unregulated and health insurance companies are quite heavily regulated and Obama care made it worse. There are dozens of companies selling health insurance even more before Obama care. They are in competition with each other prices go up when costs go up.
They do not rise at whim.

Emergency rooms began to swell because obamacare put a whole hell of a lot more people on medicaid who before they had Obamacare would have stayed home and drank a hot toddy or four, but now they have insurance and medical care cost them nothing out of pocket so they go to the emergency when they get the sniffles.

There goes a Trump flocker frothing at the bit. You need to take your head out of Hannity's ....... The only idiots are certain flock members who think that their sht don't stink because they have more class than everyone else. You should listen to yourself pontificating.

Whenever insurance companies asked to increase premiums they were given the ok. This is all the more reason for a national healthcare program. What Obama did can be changed and should be changed.

They were permitted because they brought the documentation along to show the increase in cost.

I used the Toyota example because that is exactly what happened when Reagan placed a tariff on some cars coming from Japan. The Japanese responded by building a plant in Kentucky, thus bypassing the tariffs. It's not like they were trying to kill Detroit. It's just that Detroit was rolling out garbage during that time, and the Japanese weren't.

Harley has been producing bikes abroad for some time. e.g. Their india plant opened in 2009. The obverse is true for the Japanese bikes. If you have honda or kawasaki or suzuki or yamaha, it was more than likely built in the states.

As for whirlpool, yes, they are looking at higher costs because of higher steel costs. However, that is because they were using steel and aluminum produced by foreign sources. This is an example of how tariffs are supposed to help our steel workers, rather than theirs. They are also suffering from problems in Europe because of an antitrust lawsuit.

In France, the only working well socialized medicine in any country of size the Government pays 70% and you're on the hook for the rest. Plus you must pay in full up front and the Government re-imburses you when they feel like it. It's just a form of rationing health care to the poor. If you don't have $12,000 to pay for that $40,000 hip replacement, bring your credit card or get back to us when you have the money.

Your state can do what they want. So long as you're paying for your illegals, then I don't see the problem. If they come here, well... people die every day. I'm all for letting them pay for any healthcare they can afford, of course, but don't ask me to help.

Maybe they can set up some crowd funding page...

Don't be absurd. Drag them out of the street so they don't block traffic. And at least cover them with a blanket or at least a tarp. No reason we can't show people a little respect and dignity.

IF Whirlpool was using foreign steel they probably still are as it is still cheaper than US steel.
Harley moved some production offshore to get around the retaliatory tariffs put on by the EU not to sell more in India.

I love how these guys keep trying to make it seem like you can walk a block in any lefty metropolis without stumbling over some homeless guy, but if you say that you don't want to pay for their illegals, then we're bad.

Ain't no homeless where I live. For one thing, it's too damn cold. For another, there's plenty of work if you don't mind developing some callouses while showing up for work everyday. Sure, it's the sticks so we don't have really high rent prices, but that just means a lower cost of living. That's something lefties love to see jacked so high that Jesus H. Christ himself couldn't afford to live there. And then they complain about high health care prices...

I don't know whether to laugh or cry when dealing with lefties. It's like I don't know whether I'm conversing with an arse or an armpit because none of them make any sense.

Then what's the problem? The point of tariffs is to help our people. Right now, it's higher, but that'll change once demand increases.

Somehow I think you missed it.
Whirlpool is selling fewer washers and dryers because they are more expensive.
So splain it to me Lousie. Americans buying are paying more, Whirlpool is making less and somehow this is helping us?

It'll help when they start buying U.S. steel and aluminum, rather than the chinese.

or they can move to china.

They will move the stamping process to Mexico or Canada. No tariffs on steel parts.
One things for sure, they won't loose that much money for long.
