Anyone from central America who shows up at the border claiming assylum must be given a court hearing

In the past that was a free ride to entry into the US

    And largely still is

Do you want to punish the illegal aliens employees as I called for?

The worker and their whole family should be immediately deported

And Republicans had the house, senate, and presidency for 2 years and got nothing done. Dont blame this on democrats alone. Its misinformed at best, and downright insidious at worst.

Uh.... That's not a loophole. That's actually the law. Nice trying though.

I have no problems with deporting illegal aliens. None at all. And only if they have family here ILLEGALLY. If they are here legally, I see no reason to punish them.

And yet until you were called out on it, you were perfectly content to blame only democrats... just partisan hackery on your part.

So you smash the living crap out of those farmers who hire them illegally. Period. Star devistating buisnesses who hire illegals and call it a day. They will stop VERY quickly.

Also, put forth a better reformed worker visa program, because as has been said before, Americans simply dont want to do those jobs. And if they DID do those jobs, would require higher pay. Which would drive up food prices. Food is expensive enough.

That's because you keep voting for liberals. Stop with the Bush's and tRUMP types of the world. You are as much a part of the problem by voting for those liberal R's.
Remember, tRUMP had illegals in his employment. He's an illegal himself.

I believe it is wrong and evil to place individuals into a specific category. I can no more select one as another to describe myself. I am an individual who makes decisions as best I can, based on facts when available. I have been on the liberal side of things at times and on the conservative side at others. It's impossible for me to be only one category.

Edit: I feel it would be disingenuous of me to choose one.

agree, trump thinks it means ask for 5 billion then compromise on 2.5 billion (that is not compromise)

no, compromise means you give something to get something and both sides win

Agreed. Much like 'we should ban all semi-auto's, lets settle on banning certain ones' or 'we should raise taxes a lot, lets settle on raising them a little.'

This problem spans the aisles, for certain.

OOC, what (if anything) would you accept in exchange for your support of Trumps wall? Is a compromise possible?

DACA, it's already been offered to Trump, he doesn't like the Dreamers it seems

if dems wanted any of those things they would have to give republican something, unless enough republicans wanted it too or they did not need their votes

same is true of Trump, he needs the dems votes

and that is the truth of the matter, they only come here cause Americans hire them to do jobs Americans wont do for the wages they want to pay them

make it a felony to knowingly hire an illegal and illegal immigration stops in it's tracks

DACA for Wall would be a good compromise.

Onus is entirely on YOU to refute the OP source and/or it's credibility.

Since you can't that means that it must be a credible source.

    That was easy!

Given that you have both liberal and conservative positions then None of the Above is the choice that makes the most sense,

Furthermore your diverse positions makes it more likely that you will be willing to find a compromise that you can agree upon IMO.

Are there any specific issues that you might consider to be worthy of compromising on?

Trump offered the Dems twice as many DACA as they requested in exchange for wall funding in the past.. The Dems quickly rejected the offer.

Moderate Republicans also rejected it because your BLOTUS wanted to deport the parents of those DACA Dreamers.

LOLz ... Your "source" being "credible" studies coonducted by Vatican missionaries? Here's the latest data from CBP. NOTE: these figures ONLY represent monthy APPREHENSIONS ... and ONLY the Southwest region.
    https://cpb.gov/newsroom/stats/sw-border-migration
You, just like Pelosi & Co., clearly prefer head in the sand, open border mythology to verifiable data. That's why (D)'s ... Pelosi espew such pearls as: "I reject your facts" ... now that, WAS easy! :roflol:

Bush at his worst - and his worst was pretty bad - is still better than any democrat

And I opposed his effort to grant amnest to illegal aliens just as I am against amnesty now

Yet another puerile attempt to derail the thread duly noted and ignored for derogatory reasons.

Given that there has been nothing of any meaningful substance in your posts recently you have effectively DISQUALIFIED yourself from any further interaction as far as I am concerned.

Here is your all expenses paid one way ticket to Cyberia.

    Have a nice life!

fake news, Trump agreed to the offer then changed his mind again as normal, he can't make up his mind as he is easily manipulated by the last person he talks to or sees on tv

Trump may finally come to his senses and agree to it, but I doubt it

the sad part is Trump lies and said he loves the Dreamers then acts like this
