You mean a lack of empathy for what you want, right?

Because you obvoiusly don't have empathy for the people who want a border wall.

These type of arguments are hilarious, I love that people try to play the "You are mean because you won't do what I want!" card.

Apparently "the poor" are those who make $50k and under.

Why would any of them want to make over $50k when they get tens of thousands in freebies.

Those poor people making $50k a year who get $10k a year in housing subsidies plus who knows how much other free stuff. Oh the humanity.

No wonder they don't want better jobs.

At least until they run out of other people's money, then they'll be eating each others faces.

    They do.

Once they're on welfare they're not coming off it.

But it's not free. Those making over the $50K are the ones paying the extra $10K for the subsidy.

Reagan started the income redistribution. His trickle down revolution transferred the nations wealth from the poor and middle class, to the richest 1%

This slugging out in favor of a class, labeled poor, has been the Democratic party mantra since 1933. With the vast amount of time they have held congress, along with many other Democrat presidents, by this time one might have got the idea Democrats cured poverty and pay the poor a bundle of cash monthly.

Say, I used to be a democrat when they made those same promises. When will they double my SS income so I am at the poverty level?

I've known people who have asked for pay cuts so they could qualify.

Very true. I could have made very different career choices but have been very happy with life I picked. I just find it amusing at this point of my life, heading into retirement, to find out I am poor.

That is not remotely fair to Reagan and shows one does not understand what Reagan did.

FDR truly is the father of income redistribution.

It is a demonstrable fact of what Reagan did, and I don’t give a **** if you think that’s fair to him or not.

Well, reality as usual is in complete opposition to you.

How did the feds pay for a new recliner?
States administer social programs. The fed gov't may contribute, but each state sets its rules.

The gov't in this case is the state. Texas is subsidizing the low income renters.
Should they be luxury, no. Basic.
Low income rentals are not luxury in my state.

You were not forced to rent in a low income rental. You chose that.
And this is Texas, I presume? The state is building those luxury low rental units.

Doesn't the money for that come from federal subsidies?

    Perhaps, some, maybe most.
But states set up how they spend that money.

And why is solid R State, Texas, giving luxury rental units to low income people? Sounds like Texas is raping the federal tax payer.

Why is any state giving anything to anyone? When did it become the job of the state to take money from those who work and give it to those who don't? It should not be the job of the state to take care of the poor. Taking care of the poor should be handled by charitable organizations.

Reagan never took a dime from the poor and middlrclass

The thinks that lowering taxes which allowing wealthy people to keep more of own money is the same as taking money from the poor

    Anfthey are wrong as usual
