Low-Income Renters Face Eviction, Thanks to the Government Shutdown

Gee it’s a wonder more people do not voluntarily give up most of their income if they get better housing on a lower income

 

In my next life, I’m going to drop out of high school, party my ass off, never hold a steady job, and then live rent-free courtesy of the government in a luxury apartment. And I’ll be pissing off my neighbors in the apartment complex who went to grad school and earn eight times what I make because all of us ended up living in the same place.

 

Income redistribution is an asinine idea.

 

Having faced financial dire straits more than once, albeit for different reasons, I, unlike the Moscow Agent / Mad ******* Governing America, can certainly relate and sympathize. I would be royally POed right now if that bloviated con man were causing me to face eviction.

 

Not when income includes capital gains and other non-wage income that is far in excess of typical earnings.

I actually am content with my lot in life. I live well even on my limited income. Being poor isn't something you seem to know anything about. Hmmmmmmm.

Awww. I spent the first 10 years of my life being raped and beat on practically a daily basis. I have had Lupus for 25 years also. Try it you might like it.

No. In America, people earning $20,000 per year (high school dropouts) can live via government subsidies in the same place that people who earn $150,000 per year. What a country!

But then what incentive is there to work hard and obtain an education when all of us end up the same in the end?

They own a lot of the houses in cities now.. Prices are going up while sales go down.. So the biz guys are riggin the market and folks started wondering WTF
