My Trump necktie was manufactured in Thailand.

The largest portion of Ivanka's line is made in Ethiopia by a Chinese run company.
Less than 15% of her line is actually made in mainland China.
Most of her garments are made in Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.

Your accusation rings hollow when compared to other US corporate proportional comparisons.

I've fallen off your radar? And to think you cared (see above). Oh, well...
He hasn't kept his campaign promises. He said he would fix healthcare. It's worse now. He promised Mexico would build the wall. He said he would tear up NAFTA; now we have NAFTA 2.0. He passed a tax cut that's offset by us paying higher tariffs. Besides, 85% of the tax cut went to people making more than $400,000 per year. Trump said rich prople should pay more. He said he would bring manufacturing jobs back. Joe American thought it would be his old job, but it's actually high skill jobs Joe has no skills to snag. Trump is a false prophet.

Yeah, the Democrats got their ass kicked because they stopped working for Joe and Jane American. They're saving the planet on Joe's back. They're playing identity politics.
Who the hell are the "alt-lefties?" Democrats are controlled by business, just like the Republicans. You come across like a guy who spends way too much time with his head stuck in the Angry Middle-Age Extreme Rightwing Religious Traditionalist Open Mouth Media Echo Chamber.
    Hohhhh-Kayyyyyy.

Like I said, most of us are getting tired of the Trumpian turmoil.

Why hurt ourselves at all? Tariffs are the wrong way to pressure China.
It's been going on a lot longer than 20 years.

The way we're dealing with China suggests we're only trying to get concessions for our exporters and ignoring China doing to other countries what it does to us. It's a shortsighted, short-term attempted fix for our trade concerns that doesn't create the international solidarity necessary to alter China's trade and economic policies.
I submit Trump won't create the "sphere of influence" think he will.

    Huh?
What are you talking about? China has lower labor costs.
Mostly, American workers are hurt by their high salaries.
You haven't been reading my posts. That's fine, I don't recall reading your, either. But you shouldn't pasd judgment on posts you haven't read.

No, the consumer is not paying them. That is a myth.

Trump Apparel brand items are made in Indonesia.

Trump branded eyeglasses are made in China

Trump Vodka was made in Germany and the Netherlands before he sold the brand.

Trump also claimed that the decorations for his hotels were made in the US, but they are not....The Trump branded sheets used in most of his hotels (as well as those sold in stores) are made in China. The shells for the comforters used are made in China, while they are filled and assembled in the US.

His new Washington hotels, which was touted as using 100% American Made goods, when in truth the only thing it used that was made in America was it's pillows, which was a change was the usual policy of only assembling the pillows in the US. Everthing from the lighting fictures to the towels in robes are made in China, Malaysia, India, and South Korea. All the dishes and glassware is made in Italy.

Ivanka Trump's clothing line, which was featured as part of their "made in America" event, are made in Bangladesh, China, and Indosnesia.

He is correct. If congress had given the money it would not be needed. The bought and paid for congress will never fund closing off cheap labor and democrat votes even with the crisis there currently is on the border. It is sad that congress does not care about the American people.

Who do you think is paying? Some costs are absorbed by producers whose goods tariffs by having to drop prices to compete (a good case study of this is found in Canadian lumber producers lowering their prices), but there is also a general price increase as competitors will have room to increase prices. Consumers here are paying higher prices which are partly tariffs passed along and partly higher returns to producers not facing tariffs. It's complicated.

If the goods are entirely subject to tariffs--all the goods are made overseas--producers may drop prices because consumers will choose to purchase other goods instead.

Tariffs do cause higher prices and some of their cost, perhaps even most of their cost, is paid by consumers.

And even more apparent...where was the emergency when Trump had a majority in the House and the Senate?

And that is the real kicker. Trump has zero respect or consideration for anyone and most folks realize this and think of him accordingly...with much disdain and disgust, but his base adores the grifter that would kick them to the curb as soon as their usefulness is no longer needed. Astounding!

Trump has an upcoming election emergency that became apparent after Republicans lost the House by a touchdown.

You don't get it... do you ???

Trump has about 5 billion to spend before he even gets to the 3 or so billion in his emergency declaration.

Trump is pulling the Democratic Party into a trap, and the lawsuits are already flowing. As long as the courts rule by September, Trump is home free.

Trump wins either way the courts decide because he has the issue hedged to help him gain support for the next legislative package that will need to be passed in September.

Are you saying the customer pays the taxes? If so, who do you think will be paying the taxes if the democrats get their wish and increase corporate taxes by
    20%?
I do find it interesting that the alt-lefties wanted tariffs on all those evil countries that were undercutting American production and taking American jobs and now that they cannot deal with a Trump presidency, it's NO, NO now they want to import everything just to keep the cost of their tee shirts at $5/ea.

Is costing. America pays 30% more for steel than any other nation on earth. Makes the american producers happy to rake it in, but the consumer pay the end price. Not to mention how can american manufacturers compete internationally when one of their primary raw materials cost 30% more than their competitors.

Taxes are paid by a mix of customers and business, depending upon the good or service.
Who the hell are these "alt-lefties" you keep going on about? Democrats include wildly wealthy types like Buffet, Bloomberg, and Gates. Obama never went after the Wall Street types that stole billions from ordinary Americans. Ocasio-Cortez is a leftist who got slapped down by Pelosi who is herself filthy rich.

Bottom line--extreme lefties aren't in control of the Democratic Party.

I dont know about you, but I find it hard to support Trump when he attacks immigrants, while having illegals working for him, and outsources jobs to China while talking about how many jobs he is creates every year.

Those "hardworking Americans" are consumers. Why do you want them to have less money?
