The Hill takes a small step in the right direction. I guess everyone isn't brainwashed and can feel remorse. Hopefully more do so, I urge everyone with so much hatred inside for Trump to repent. Apologies to President Trump We in the media allowed unproven charges and false accusations to dominate the news landscape for more than two years, in a way that was wildly unbalanced and disproportionate to the evidence. We did a poor job of tracking down leaks of false information. We failed to reasonably weigh the motives of anonymous sources and those claiming to have secret, special evidence of Trump’s “treason.” As such, we reported a tremendous amount of false information, always to Trump’s detriment. And when we corrected our mistakes, we often doubled down more than we apologized. We may have been technically wrong on that tiny point, we would acknowledge. But, in the same breath, we would insist that Trump was so obviously guilty of being Russian President Vladimir Putin’s puppet that the technical details hardly mattered. So, a round of apologies seem in order. https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/435552-apologies-to-president-trump
That reporter just committed career suicide. The Ministry of Leftist Propaganda just put her on the "subversives" list.
I used to subscribe to the Hill. Cancelled because of the clear membership in the Yellow Journalism Club of America. Apology? A little late for that. Rot in hell for your attempt to damage the US in the quest for a few dollars.
Because they don't want to look really really really stupid but for some people it wouldn't be possible to look more stupid so these people double down.
Editorial: In wake of Robert Mueller’s report, don’t celebrate — investigate The Mueller report is in. The president is vindicated. Now it is time to investigate the investigators The Democrats have been saying that the truth must come to light for two years, now. Let us oblige them. Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr and Peter Strzok should be at the center of a new probe to determine whether members of the United States intelligence services took part in an effort to compromise the duly elected president of the United States. https://www.bostonherald.com/2019/0...t-muellers-report-dont-celebrate-investigate/
I guess I'm flabborgasted over the "surprise and shock" the media is showing. The only people who might be suddenly enlightened are the brainwashed college kids. Otherwise the media were in the know...they just framed their reporting to distract for their own purposes.
There was a time, when media would report news...they wouldn't speculate, conjure, and defame....that's changed greatly over the years...in particular we saw the rise of this in the Bush Admin and it's gone down hill since then. What the past two years has shown, three really, has been the worst of the worst....the media became unhinged at the lose of Clinton, the clear rejection of their darling Pres Obama, and a President unwilling to simply roll over and take it. I appreciate the Hill for doing the right thing here
Not nearly good enough... Since I was never believing there was "a tacit or express agreement between the Trump Campaign and the Russian Government on election interference" to begin with, the Barr letter didn't move my needle one iota.. LOL... if that was the standard of proof Mueller was looking for, there was zero chance he was going to find that...
Your bitter disappointment is showing. Election Day 2016 and Mueller Monday. Perhaps we should TWO new national holidays?
The topic came up in conversation with folks who I know were very invested in believing in the horror of Trump yesterday. They seems shell shocked. They seemed despondent. One was even a little defiant. Like there was still a credible narrative there they could rely on to demonstrate that the last couple years of their lives hadn't been wasted in their folly. I don't think its ever easy for folks who are actually quite bright to admit that they fell for and were duped by the lies they found comforting. One of the more difficult parts of that conversation was when the subject of finding out the actual truth of the collusion and who was actually responsible for it. I think that is going to take some time for them. And likely, they will fight it because it reminds them of how ridiculously duped they allowed themselves to be and wont want to be reminded.....
Because the vitriol directed at Trump was unjustified. There was no “collusion”, and anyone who alleged there was collusion is an idiot and a jackass.
The only "collusion" to influence an election using foreign influence came from Clinton and the DNC. It's way past time to look for them under the rocks they crawled back under. This entire investigation was a deflection of their own treachery.
I can see the board game now... We can call it "finding Barry"... Try to find the current location of Barry and guess which country that doesn't have extradition he's hiding in today....
If only that were true..........the Deep State will continue to coddle and protect their own though. The House wants to see the full report. I wonder if that "full report" will expose how corrupt the FBI and DOJ cronies of Clinton were in their abuse of FISA warrants? That little matter needs some sunshine on it's ass.
I find it funny that our resident conservatives are now demanding apologies to Trump in several threads, after how they treated Obama and Hillary for 8 years. Can dish it out, but can't take it. That's what I thought.
Sharyl Atkinson isn't one that I would expect an apology from. She didn't make false claims about Trump. It's like The Hill found someone that isn't guilty to ask for a mea culpa. Screw them. Good on her but screw them.
