Technology is a Western European standard. It's not a universal standard, so to look at the achievements of different cultures by our own standards, is a little foolish. In a descriptive sense the things you desire have to be physically possible. In that sense, might makes right. You need power to enforce your will, good or bad.

Words mean nothing without the power to back them up. Now, sometimes (in fact, usually) what is right is also not possible. I might think it'd be a good thing that everyone on Earth get freedom of speech, but without the power to implement this my words are vacuous.

So, if you want Israel to observe your nonsense non-law, you need to back it up with enforcement. That means invasion or the use of lots of soft power.

I am NOT saying that if Israel refuses to comply and has the power to back this up that this puts them in the right - that's absurd. They can be right or wrong irrespective of power.

As an example, I support gun rights. I also live in a country where all sides of politics hate guns. They have the might. That doesn't mean I adopt their view.

Tamils are ethnically Moslems from India. The British imported them to Ceylon as labourers. "Tigers" is merely a name the Ceylonese Tamils (mostly found in the north-east part of the island) gave to their separatist movement that was defeated. They are Sri Lankans of a Moslem minority.

Until Muslims are free from the yoke of Islam, there will be no peace.

However my point was that the terrorists might consider the presence of so many foreign Christians and tourists as an attempt of the Christian world to colonize territories in Muslim backyard, and that might have been the reason for the attack. As long as I understand, Muslims an Christians in Sri Lanka are around 9-10% each. So Muslims are nobody there.
