Earlier I found some of the names of those arrested and they were Islamic. The fact that they were suicide bombings implies, at least to me, that Muslims are behind these attacks. I find it hard to believe that Buddhists in a Buddhist-run country would go to the length of suicide bombings against Christians. It's possible, but very unlikely.

Trying to find those names again.

Sri Lanka Terror Attack LIVE: Six explosions ripped through Sri Lanka’s churches and popular hotels on Sunday morning, with authorities saying 185 people were feared dead. Worshippers were targeted at the Kochikade, St Sebastian and Batticaloa churches during Easter mass. The other locations are Hotel Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury hotel.

The blasts occurred at around 8.45am (local time) as the Easter Sunday masses were in progress in churches, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said….

Two of the six attacks that rocked Sri Lanka this morning are reportedly to be have been carried out by suicide bombers. The attack at Shangri La hotel was carried out by suicide bomber Zahran Hashim, while Abu Mohammad has been identified as the attacker at the Batticalao church….

That is a self induced backlash to barbaric violence.

It's a result of anti-Islamic propaganda and dehumanization campaigns undertaken by right-wingers in the West.

That's a simple fact. My point is that it's going to be just as hard for you to accept this than it is for Muslims to accept that modern Islamic culture is also contributing to Islamic extremism. But guess what? An uncountable number of Muslims do accept that fact. How many right-wingers are willing to accept the culpability of their political movement in the killings of Muslims?

EDIT: I'm gonna go ahead and answer that question: None except for those who support the killings of Muslims.

6 simultaneous attacks, at Easter Sunday mass, and against hotels that house westerners/tourists.

    Who else is suspected?

It's not unreasonable to think that Buddhists may have been behind these attacks. Once I learned that it was Sri Lanka and that Christians were targeted I suspected that there was a 95% chance that Muslims were behind the attack and a 4% chance that Buddhists were. Until I found the names, I wasn't willing to make a definitive statement.

Of course it's always the right wingers in the West that are causing Muslims to have hurt feelings, totally untrue but believe it you wish.

And while you are at it maybe you can deny it has anything to do with the teachings of committing violence against non Muslims as detailed on the Koran.

    ...and dead relatives.

Suppose my point has been made on this matter.

So now you do want to discuss the role of religious doctrine in political violence. That's great! Now, would you agree that the role religious doctrine plays in political violence is one variable out of many?

They say the 3 hotels hit were having their busiest day of the year, Easter Sunday.

They were packed with people, mostly families there to celebrate.

Christainity is the most persecuted religion in the world at this time. In the 1990s, Muslim extremists killed one million Christains and animists in the southern Sudan, and enslaved 250,000 more.
Four million were forced to flee Sudan to live in squalid refugee camps. Christians are murdered on a regular basis in much of Africa. Shortly before the New Zealand killings, a Muslim
mob in Nigeria attacked a Christian village murdering 30 people, mostly women and children. At the same time Muslim mobs burned 10 churches in Ethiopia. Christians are murdered frequently in
Indonesia. Coptic Christians are descriminated against on a routine basis in Egypt. Christianity is routinely mocked and attacked by Hollywood Liberals in movies and on TV. Saturday Night Live mocks
a 'Church Lady' not a 'Mosque Lady.'

Jihadi Terrorists are not representative of Islam, Bro. Most Muslims prefer a life without violence, like anyone else.

I wonder why Muslim terrorists do not realize that their actions also harm all peaceful Muslims. If I would believe in conspiracy theories, I would claim that enemies of Islam pretend to be Muslims who have perpetrated these attacks.

Christians are by far the most persecuted religion on the planet in today's world.

    It's not even close.

Almost as at the beginning of the Roman Empire. But later they came to power and exterminated the Pagans or forced them to become Christians.

Again, the authorities have released no suspects names nor has there been any claims of responsibility. Clearly an attempt to destabilize the government is under way by creating fear and mistrust. By jumping on the Muslims did it band wagon you play into the terrorists hands.
Give it a day or two first and see what shakes out.
