Trump is not responsible for every crackpot in the world, but as for the Democrat crackpots, THEY are responsible for the crazy things they do. Is Obama responsible for all of the cop killings due to his anti police diatribes?

This is such a wonderful example of of unknowledge prejudice. You conclude that these immigrants are not productive and don’t know how to care for themselves and cannot contribute to America. Fleeing from violence is not botching a job at home. But how do you describe them is so telling about how you feel about people who are not white like you.
They said the same thing about my immigrant grandparents and probably most peoples. The immigrants I know work their asses off so they can have a better life for their children just the way my ancestors did.

Ignorance is not having experience. I've worked in central American countries on about 10 different contract projects. I hired them, managed them, watched how they work, how they manage their llives what values they kept, what they settle for. You need to understand that while many immigrants do wish to come here because of the opportunity to do more for themselves, there are far more that are opportunistic, looking to take advantage of people who tell themselves that everybody is really trying and nobody seeks to exploit. I assure you, while there are some very good people there- there are a great many exploiters looking for a better life that takes less effort. Trying to get people to actually perform there is much harder than it is here, even when the compensation is higher than anything else they could find. Unmotivated and unreliable is the norm. Situation ethics are the norm. Manana is the norm. Siesta is the norm.

This is not to say anything against the basic idea of immigration, but it is to say that just as you control your front door and have to use judgement- we must control our borders and use judgement. "Fleeing from violence" is often the violent people looking for less competition. Every thug wants to be the top thug in his territory, and the competition drives many to look for someplace new- with gullible people.

In Honduras, where I have worked many times- the gangs and gangsters probably constitute more than half the population today in the age brackets of 12-40. Law enforcement is strongly controlled by gangsters. There is fierce competition for turf and people to victimize. Honduras is the murder capitol of the world right now- it has become the culture, and that does not happen when the people will not tolerate it. That is what I mean by botching the job- tolerating a deteriorating social condition. Young people there, those under 30 for sure- have grown up in a culture of violence, learned it as the tools of everyday living. A large percentage of them do not know any other way.

All immigrants are not like your grandparents, or my great-grandparents who came here from Germany in the 1870's to homestead a farm. There is a difference between using the land and using the people and system, and the latter is what present day Hondurans know how to do.

Is violence, hatred, bigotry and xenophobia out there? Yes, but what Trump does is brand it with legitimacy and acceptability. Trump's base is merely a manifestation of what lies beneath the majority of people that practice restraint, good will toward mankind, polite manners, and human decency. Trump represents an acknowledgement that it is perfectly okay to hold feelings of fear and anger directed against those that don't meet his standards of ethnic and racial superiority - against the "losers" of the world. He is the spokesman and champion of xenophobic crackpots, and a base of angry, morally impoverished, ignorant people. Does he incite them, no because they are alway there, lurking in the cesspool of human existence. Trump simply brings them out into the open. What we see are those that have already embraced his view of morality and human decency. Trump's legacy is simply too horrible to contemplate.
