If you are smart enough to understand the news, you need no additional examples. If not, additional examples won't improve your understanding of anything.

    SOMALIA
as opposed to Great Britain, Denmark, France, Norway, Israel, Japan, Germany, Canada, Sweden, etc., etc., etc.?

    Okay. To each his own.

It wasn't that long ago that parents taught children to be responsible adults- to have pride in themselves, to have values and self-respect. That is rapidly disappearing and being replaced by spoiled brat logic in 30 year old minds. That kind of foolishness will revert a nations course, and things will regress..... apparently just what the left approves of.

Why have borders and countries and walls?

I don't know. People like to divide themselves up out of fear and paranoia.

    "Imagine there's no countries
    It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace"

Does your fear and paranoia make you want borders, and countries, and walls?

Those in need were provided for out of sincere - luv, concern & dedication; abundantly more rich & fulfilling to the 'giver' & 'beneficiary'! There was dignity, gratitude & respect - a far cry from LBJ's Great Society & the current mold of the Democratic Subsistence / entitlement System that we have today... (OK - so I didn't live it, but I trust those that have recounted it...)

You're saying you don't want a country with borders? You don't want a country that can provide Medicare and Medicaid? Social security? FDA? EPA? HSA? You don't want any countries or borders?

    And, me? No.

I don't want a country with borders. It's a made up thing. We are one planet.

But obviously, that is the world we live in.

As far as a system for helping people and the world, I'm for it. There's plenty to go around.

So you don't want a country with borders. No FDA, EPA, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. You don't want any of those things.

It's also true that no first world country has a weak central government - but most third world countries do. Finding the right ratio isn't always easy.

    Speaking of the FDA.........

A.L.A. Schechter Poultry Corp. v. United States

A.L.A. Schechter Poultry Corp. v. United States, 295 U.S. 495 (1935),[1] was a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States that invalidated regulations of the poultry industry according to the nondelegation doctrine and as an invalid use of Congress' power under the commerce clause. This was a unanimous decision that rendered the National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933, a main component of President Roosevelt's New Deal, unconstitutional.

We are extremely fortunate that we have the SC since a huge part of the new deal was invalidated by the court.See post 73 for more information.
