His sexuality is as irrelevant to me as he is. Also, I don't know if you've noticed this but making fun of politicians names is what we do around here.

If you're gonna start saying that certain posters have some kind of credibility issues because of that, I look forward to seeing you calling out others that call the prez "tRUMP". That ought to be interesting.

reason being because the rich like Buffer is living off the interest on money they have already made and has been taxed once already
so you want earned money to be taxed twice?
would be the same as your pay check getting taxed you put it in the bank then it gets taxed again when you make a withdraw

His sexuality is fair game, and here's why. The POTUS commands the armed forces and picks the VA secretary. Pre-op transvestites medical expenses and how that affects their readiness for deployment is something Pete should be pressed on. I don't think it's in the military's best interest to accept pre-op trannys who obviously have pre-existing "conditions" ... physical, mental, and emotional "conditions". I'll wager Pete "sees things differently" and that he'll force the military to spend million$ on diversity / sensitively training until they "see things differently" too.

Start by making cuts to benefits for illegals which is all we would need to drastically reduce the flow of invaders from the south. I've never heard a single politician suggest this. Why is that???????? It is such common sense.

Amazon is not one of the most profitable companies in the world.

Then she is in the top tier of income earners whom you want to pay even more taxes.

    How many and why?

The question is his much more? The top 1% already pays 40% of income taxes. The bottom 50% pays virtually nothing. If that is not "fair" what would be?

Fascinating how so many of you manage to put words in Pete Buttigiegs mouth. As to the ‘funny name’ he finds people’s mistaken attempts at pronouncing it as amuzing as you lot want to overlay your revealing hetro interpretations of gay sexuality.
Why not discuss what he actually puts out there as policy?

The proposals are they should pay more for it to be "fair".

What is the measure of "fair" and how much more should they pay?

Fascinating the ideas that pop into heterosexuals heads when they think about gays.
As to doubting more than a few people take him seriously can I suggest as politely as possible you do your research more carefully?

What he said last night is off bounds?

He like Warren is talking a "wealth". We don't tax "wealth" at the federal level so how do we do that?

When you and your bigoted compatriots call him bootygig, are you making fun of his name or his sexuality?

    Yeah, you’re done here.

He wasn't thinking about what kind of sex Buttigieg likes, why are you trying to make that the issue? Do you think people should vote for him because he likes sex with men?

Any candidate that suggests cutting spending will have no chance.

That's why we spend as much as we do.

People dont want to hear 'less funding'.

His name, as I said in the very post you quoted. Pro tip: it helps to actually READ the post before you respond to it.

You want to tax Amazon, fine.

You want my taxes to go up so you can expand the welfare state? Hell no.

I began to lose interest in the Buttster when he lunched with a racist creep like Al Sharpton. Then a few days ago he decides to get on some publicity stunt where he wants to dishonor Thomas Jefferson. I had some hope for him, but now that he wants to jack taxes up I will look elsewhere for the "new" Democrat that we are told must be among the nearly two dozen that have already announced.

They always say that they'll tax the rich but somehow it always means that just the middle class gets higher taxes.

Any time you hear politicians say "fair" you know they are throwing equality out the window.

I think ANY candidate who goes and kisses the ring of Al Sharpton should be sent home packing never to be heard of again.

In all these many many years and post after post not one can ever explain what would constitute this "fairness", what percentages of taxes paid. The nearest I can get is that it is unfair for anyone in the bottom 50% of earners to lay income taxes and unfair that those in the top 50% have any money left after taxes.

The worst part as usual is that we all will be paying any additional taxes to business, that includes the poor. If they think taxes aren't passed on to the public then they're dumber than I thought.

To be fair, the increase in taxes will at least give us more government irresponsibility!
