Colorado Christian cakeshop sued a third time for discrimination.

I taught school for three decades and I don't want to see kids damaged before they get a chance to have a decent life.

 

As a conservative, I just don't find the baker's reasoning at all logical. I just think this is a bunch of insanity on both sides. Make the damned cake and let's stop arguing this stupid point.

Are you sure? Most small business is actualizing the dream of the owner and money is secondary. A bakery exists because they like to bake. Making money just happens to be a benefit of their craft.

My thoughts here are that the rest of us should go out and sue those folks suing the bakes, entangle them in endless legal battles to deplete their resources so they can't destroy others.

 

I'm against the discrimination but it's unfair they pick on this family shop, they should find a different target.

The anger is not over the gay life style, that's their business, but over of the bullying and harassing of a Christian who refuses to go against his conscience. The gays are reacting towards him the same as the pagan emperors reacted towards the Christians - and we have thousands upon thousands of martyrs and Saints to attest to it.

The only difference is that the barbarity of the age had them being thrown to the lions or burned on a stake. But we're getting there. It happens when the wrong people are empowered.

Perhaps you assume too much. Just because someone teaches in the system doesn't mean they agree with it. Hint: I support parents being issued with school vouchers. Voucher caveat ... the voucher has to be for enough money that lower income parents can afford to enrol their kids in private schools. That way public schools will be history. A $3k voucher for a low income parents is like tossing a lifesaver 100 feet from a drowning man--he can see it but it's of no use to him.

 

As a conservative (who gags on Trump), I agree with you. The gay thing is going to be "history" soon enough. Gay Pride parades will be yawners. Very few people will care if someone is gay. The big thing at some point may be preventing homosexuality if we find out what causes it and learn how to make everyone straight. Should we? Would we?

It's a stupid pissing contest now. Both sides made their point. Baker guy should bake the dang two-tone cake and stop being an f'ing prig. LGBTQ official should stop wasting taxpayers' money on a personal agenda. If the LGBTQ people were denied something important that would be another matter. Besides, cake tastes nice, but all that sugar and fat is what Americans shouldn't be eating in the first place.
