After the Mueller report was released, Trump apologists have run out of real arguments to defend his innocence. So the wingnut media has been working double-time to come up with excuses. They have created an "onion" of fake arguments. You take out one "layer" of these false arguments, and they come up with more. So let's try to describe where we are with this Onion, from the Outside in. I'll try to be as brief as possible, given that Trump loyalists usually will not read more than a couple of lines. Onion Layer 1: "Mueller Exonerated Trump" Mueller (Statement May 29, 2019) : "As set forth in our report, after that investigation, if we had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said that." Onion Layer 2: "Trump didn't commit any crimes" The Mueller Report describes 10 instances of Obstruction of Justice. Six of them are inconclusive one way or another, but four of them meet all requirements usually needed for conviction (Act, Nexus, Intent) http://www.politicalforum.com/index...in-the-mueller-report.556547/#post-1070614356 Onion Layer 3: "Mueller didn't charge Trump with any crime" Mueller (Statement May 29, 2019) : "It explains that under long-standing Department policy, a President cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional. Even if the charge is kept under seal and hidden from public view—that too is prohibited. The Special Counsel’s Office is part of the Department of Justice and, by regulation, it was bound by that Department policy. Charging the President with a crime was therefore not an option we could consider." Onion Layer 4: "Mueller didn't even say Trump committed a crime" Mueller (Statement May 29, 2019) : "And beyond Department policy, we were guided by principles of fairness. It would be unfair to potentially accuse somebody of a crime when there can be no court resolution of an actual charge." Not just fairness, but also previous court rulings influenced this decision. As explained here: http://www.politicalforum.com/index...even-say-that-trump-committed-a-crime.556548/ Onion Layer 5: "Previous Prosecutors did accuse sitting Presidents, why didn't Mueller?" Mueller is not "previous prosecutors". Besides, his instructions are based on a document signed in the year 2000. After those "previous prosecutors" https://www.justice.gov/file/19351/download Onion Layer 6: "Mueller said there was no collusion" He said no such thing. As a matter of fact, he didn't investigate "collusion". Because "collusion" is not a legal term. He investigated "conspiracy". Which would be like Trump helping Gucipher2 to hack the DNC server. Which would never happen, given that Trump doesn't even know how to use email. There is still ongoing investigation as to "conspiracy". Most of which was turned over to the SDONY Onion Layer 7: "Nothing that Trump did actually obstructed the investigation" Attempting to obstruct is just as illegal as obstructing 18 U.S.C 1512(c)(2) [Whoever corruptly—] ...obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so,shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. However, Mueller does describe instances in which obstruction was successful. Onion Layer 8: "But there was no crime. What did Trump obstruct if there was no crime?" That is inaccurate. There were 34 indictments as a result of the Mueller Investigation. In any case, Mueller clarifies that there are other reasons to obstruct other than underlying crimes. Mueller (Page 157) Obstruction of justice can be motivated by a desire to protect non-criminal personal interests, to protect against investigations where underlying criminal liability falls into a gray area ,or to avoid personal embarrassment. The injury to the integrity of the justice system is the same regardless of whether a person committed an underlying wrong. Onion Layer 9 can be any of the following: "Trump will be President forever, so he'll never go to jail" "Trump is above the law" "Mueller is just another liberal" "Lies made up by the MSM" "These are all just technicalities" "Trump didn't do anything wrong, get over it!" "It's all Bill Clinton's fault" "Orange man bad" "You just want to get at Trump because Hillary lost the elections!" "Obama did the same things" "LOL" "TDS!" "______________" [insert your own similar "brainy" comments here] Great argument! You win! Why didn't I think of that? So, now you know, folks. From now on, Presidents can do whatever they want. They are accountable to nobody. Our colleague _______ [insert handle here] has shown how facts don't matter so long as they can say something that makes the Cult happy.
Before the 2020 election I believe that some serious dirty will be coming out that will indicate a partial draining of the Washington Swamp...... and hopefully the Ottawa Swamp as well...... which also seems to be running on a variation of ELITISM!
I don't know if Canada was involved in the effort to stop Trump but the UK, France or Spain, and Australia were.
How does that fit with " Trump's Four Obstruction of Justice Crimes 100% proven in the Mueller Report"?
Ottawa probably was somewhat involved as well........ but I am hopeful that western Canada may play a critical role in assisting President Trump to deal with the threat to the USA Derivatives market.
Vote for V. P. Pence to become President! (Well actually I'm Canadian so I can't vote myself.... but I can do a bit online to assist at least)!
Oh man, the progressives hate Pence. There is a meme out there showing Pence and Trudeau sitting together and it has Pence saying, "My wife says I can't have dinner with you unless she is present."
I'm still trying to figure out the point of the OP's post. It is a repeat of a number on the same topic interspersed with a sudden flurry of hate Trump threads of varing subjects over the last two weeks. The disappointing results of the much vaulted "Mueller Report" seems to have really deepened the damage to some brains caused by Trumps victory in 2016 and continuing on a daily basis. The only onion that needs peeling here is, why is the Trump presidency so bothersome to the alt-leftie mind?
You actually need me to do the math for you? Act=33.3333...% Nexus =33.3333....% Intent = 33.3333...% 3 x 33.3333....% = 100% 2nd grade level math. If you don't understand it, ask a 2nd grader to explain it to you.
Three years into his prison term? Hmmm . His Democratic successor will have been in the White House for almost three years by then. So I'm guessing they will have solved almost a tenth of Trump's mess-ups at that point..
What intent would there be to want a hoax investigation to end? Mueller knew early on there was no there there, as Strzok was worried about.
Sorry fellas. You don't get points for rephrasing what are already pre-tagged on the OP as "dumb answers". You would need to come up with brand new ones if you expect them to be added to Layer 9 Try harder!
I prefer my Trump Onion deep fried with sides of ketchup and liberal tears. How do you prefer yours? No matter how you attempt to slice the Trump Onion, you are NOT going to succeed in subverting our Republic. Trump will be in the next election. But by all means, keep slicing that onion and keep crying....
Continuously citing only the first part of what Mueller said and ignoring the second on obstruction is disengenuous
