No, but now this sort of behavior has a tacit Presidential seal of approval.

WHAT? Russia? Now that is big news. Perhaps there should be some kind of investigation, maybe find a reputable person that the opposing party adores and respects, put him in charge, and to be certain that the right doesn't influence the results of the investigation it should be run 100% by friends of the Clintons. They will get to the bottom of this even if it takes two years. Trump is finished if we can just get a special prosecutor assigned.

Certainly, everyone picks up their themes.

I made the comment about “packing heat” because at least half a dozen of the usual suspects made that exact same argument before I noted the fact in my post.

Of course, I would expect Trump supporters to dismiss leadership as a “platitude”.

Sorry, but 4 US PResidents understood the power and purpose of the bully pulpit. I guess you have to work up a rationalization for why the current one does not, and has steadily frittered away any claim on a unifying voice or moral authority.

No no, you misunderstand. Leadership is not a platitude. The platitude is calling for leadership in such a way that demands it happen on only on one's terms and timetable. "You need to lead Mr President, by taking this action at this time and in this manner!" Meanwhile this President has been 'leading' in the area of our security and his efforts have been blocked at almost every turn.

There is no evidence of that at all.

Blaming video games is ridiculous. Someone posted a great graphic in another thread detailing gun deaths by country. Japan and South Korea were at the bottom on the list with 0 per 100,000 people. They probably play video games at a rate much higher than the rest of the world.

Edit: Added a link to the other thread. Post #207

Travel ban, extreme vetting, asylum restrictions, DACA, chain migration, visa lottery, safe third country, denying funds to sanctuary cities, citizenship question, the wall. Pres Trump has done a lot to keep America safe, or tried to at least.

You realize that South Korea and Japan play the same video games that we do. In fact they televise and have FPS and RTS tournaments.

The NRA advocates for the rights of law abiding citizens to defend themselves and is the world leader in gun safety training.

Sure, but then stop blaming video games. If there was even the slightest correlation with video games you would expect to see some blip of gun murders in South Korea and Japan.

Follow that line down to zero guns and you will see it is not bad logic.

So the logic is magically make all guns disappear? That's as stupid as it gets.
