Actually, there are mass shootings in a lot of places. Good question, let's regulate video games and movies which glorify gun violence. If films and books don't influence kids we may as well shut down our schools.

Shut down gun movies and video games, and heavily regulate guns.

I don't understand why everybody wants a nice and easy solution to this. Get some societal evil that causes this. Video games or something of that nature.

And watch nothing happened to change this.

Isn't it odd that he'll most of them are young white men? isn't there a lot of hatred and bigotry toward young white men right now?

The idea that people are disaffected from society possibly lead to them dehumanizing people and killing them.

It can't be because it's the left doing this and the left can do no wrong.

I didn't read this entire thread, but we should not dismiss the possibility of games causing a few people to go over the edge. If it's possible for Trump's words to incite violence, like the left likes to claim, then it's hard to imagine that kids with mental problems can be sent over the edge because of a game.

Also, keep in mind that it's not just the game itself, the players talk to each other and things can get brutal. My son plays these stupid games and he goes into screaming fits at the other players. So if a few players gang up on one kid and bully him then who knows what a mentally unfit person would do? Keep in mind that people have committed suicide because they had mean things said to them on Facebook. If people are willing to kill themselves, then some of them are probably willing to kill others.

And if people are going to blame the NRA, then shouldn't people blame video game manufacturers with the same intensity? After all, the purpose of many of these games is to kill your opponent - an opponent you can literally talk to while you're killing him.

Video games are no more to blame than bingo or rummy.

Yes if a magical Leprechaun waved his magic wand and made guns disappear and stopped all manufacture of them past present and future sure.

If the world was completely ridiculous that logic would work.

A gun isn't a WMD. Schools don't teach what the second amendment is for.

They brainwash children with your type of nonsense.

There are mass killings in countries around the world including the use of guns. We just had the mosque shooting in New Zealand that killed 50 people. Let's worry about what to do to stop them.

Nope, mass destruction devises need to be controlled much more tightly.

True, the second amendment was to make sure slave holders could use guns to reclaim their stolen slave property.

Yes, and New Zealand reacted decively and immediately. Banned and confiscated bought back guns.

The Japanese play the same games, yet they don't shoot each other.

There are probably all sorts of triggers, but delivery is via a weapon of mass domestic destruction, a thing you do not need.

There is always a way, a Jihadist in France killed 80 people with a truck.

Blaming the NRA is like blaming AAA for drunk driving.

Lousy analogy. AA is not in the market place promoting the use of alcohol.
