God, what a circle jerk of a thread. Once again we have Cult45ers impotently pissing and moaning about what they claim "should" be while utterly ignoring or dismissing the legal precedents and binding court decisions that are the actual reality here. Note, none of the pro Trump crowd can produce a single court case that agrees with their position. All they can do is claim that the exsisting legal precedents don't mean what the written judgements say in plain English. Fekkin' pathetic, really, and yet another flaming example of 'Stupid is as stupid does.'

It not a matter of Mexican jurisdiction over it's citizens who are here it is that Mexico as any country has an interest in one of their citizens.
Same does for when an American citizen gets arrested in Mexico on some bogus drug charge, we have an interest.

    Absolutely.
At present, the law allows American citizenship to be stolen; taken without permission or right or process of any kind. Literally a pregnant illegal gets over the border and drops a baby on the north bank of the river, and the baby gets citizenship automatically. Virtually none of the European nations allow that, but there are around 30 nations that do. The big catch is that most of those nations are not immigrant magnets; gaining citizenship is not much of a gift. Venezuela for instance.

I think the requirements you suggest are rational and reasonable.

No, it doesn't. It restates exactly what the then current law stated....the Civil Rights Act that was signed into law less than 2 months before the 14th Amendment. If you can't read, I really don't give a ****.

Too bad you don't understand Ark.

Too bad you don't understand the DOJ argued against it in the Ark case.

Too bad you haven't read the Ark decision.

Too bad you don't understand the Treaty with China at the time Ark was born.

Too bad you are even posting on this thread.

And too bad Trump will be your President for two terms.

    The f*ck it doesn't:

Texas officials had argued that illegal aliens were not "within the jurisdiction" of the state and thus could not claim protections under the Fourteenth Amendment. The court majority rejected this claim, finding instead that "no plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment 'jurisdiction' can be drawn between resident immigrants whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident immigrants whose entry was unlawful." The dissenting opinion also rejected this claim, agreeing with the Court that "the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment applies to immigrants who, after their illegal entry into this country, are indeed physically 'within the jurisdiction' of a state." The dissent simply concluded that the distinction the statute drew should survive an equal protection attack.

    I repeat:

God, what a circle jerk of a thread. Once again we have Cult45ers impotently pissing and moaning about what they claim "should" be while utterly ignoring or dismissing the legal precedents and binding court decisions that are the actual reality here. Note, none of the pro Trump crowd can produce a single court case that agrees with their position. All they can do is claim that the existing legal precedents don't mean what the written judgments say in plain English. Fekkin' pathetic, really, and yet another flaming example of 'Stupid is as stupid does.'

Which is the exact language of the Civil Rights Act in place at the time.

It’s an outdated law that is terribly exploited by those south of us. It was designed before the country had any sort of welfare system when people either worked or died. Even more disturbing is how China is abusing it. Flying plane loads of people over on birthing trips for future espionage.

If you don’t have a parent who’s a citizen than the child shouldn’t be a citizen until they come of age to apply legally.

Well if your cult of circle jerks would produce a case whereby the Supreme Court granted citizenship to a wetback's kid, then you may have an argument. Up until then, you're just gonna have to deal with reality. We get that ya'll are all 100% full on open border and hell bent on destroying the country, but there are a few of us that don't subscribe to the liberal mentally and mob rule.

Yours has yet to produce ANY case from ANY time and ANY court in the entire history of this nation that even REMOTELY supports the utter BS you're spewing. Reality is against YOU. Suck it up, or don't - those 'anchor babies' are, and will continue to be, native born citizens of the United States and there is precisely dick you or Benedict Donald can do about it but impotently bitch from the sidelines.

And we're back to pathetic whining about what "should" be vs what IS. Reality ain't your friend on this, you don't have the votes to change it, you stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting the votes to change it, so laying back and enjoying it is the only option left to you. Or don't. Your refusal to accept basic facts ain't gonna change those facts...

More to the point, it doesn't suit the Constitution's narrative.
Maybe they would be, if the law said anything like what he thinks it does. Things being what they are, his suggestions are a complete waste of bandwidth.
No, it's a current perversion of the law.

Gaining citizenship is not supposed to be a "gift" here. As a nation we are based on the idea that we WANT and NEED immigrants. That is how we have become the greatest nation in the world.

Trumpers want to throw that away in favor of a moribund racist ideology that is the most evil philosophy ever produced and that nearly destroyed the world in living memory, What is WRONG with these people?

You want and need food too. Maybe you want and need employees, or soccer players, or musicians for your band.
The question is- do you want food that in nourishing, employees that are going to be reliable and productive, or players that can't play?

You QUALIFY what you buy We QUALIFY whom we grant immigration rights to. We all want and need nice clean, fresh oats, and that requires qualification.
But if you are going to be happy with oats that have already been through the horse, I guess you don't have to be picky.....

So, if an army invades, and some of the hostile female soldiers bear children while they are here, you want citizenship instantly conferred on the baby? And since that is now an anchor baby, well, Mom and Dad are welcome too, hey, and all their brothers, sisters and cousins?

Mexico can't even control their Northern territory now. We have productive States in Arizona and New Mexico, nothing magical happens at the Rio Grande, except that the government changes, and the areas governed by Mexico are cartel controlled hell-holes. Mexico was never in control of these areas, hell Spain never really controlled them. The Apache and Comanche were running as rampant over the Southwest US as the cartels are now running lose in Northern Mexico, and every bit as savage.

Mexico City had recently broken away from Spain, and apparently you subscribe to Aztec theory that Mexico City has a right to rule not only their province but every other former Spanish province. Well, these provinces did NOT subscribe to your Aztec theory. California was asking for anyone to annex them, they were getting no help, support or protection and offered themselves for annexation to either Britain or the US. After the Bear Flag Revolt the Independent California Republic secured it's Independence until the Republic's fighting men
According to the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), an alien is an individual who does not have U.S. citizenship and is not a U.S. national.

Oats that have been through the horse make the soil rich and productive. Soil that isn't fertilized from outside becomes exhausted and sterile.
