Iran, as statements by its senior officials suggest, is working to encircle Israel from the north (Hizballah), the south (Gaza), and the east (the West Bank) and to turn the rocket threat into an unbroken ring around Israeli territory. This Iranian activity is incessant, and it includes persistent smuggling of weapons into Gaza as well as shipments and convoys to Hizballah via Syria.

Apparently, you are the one who doesn't know what you are talking about.

Talking about the revolutionary guards beating and torturing Iranians, reminds me of a scandal going on in Iran right now. It does involve the revolutionary guards and, specifically, the intelligence arm of the revolutionary guards. It also involves the intelligence ministry under the control of Iran's elected government. It does involve a case that did have a true story about torture and forced confessions. I will post a report about the scandal below, but here is what the case and story was about.

    - After Israeli agents assassinated an Iranian nuclear scientists, there was a big man hunt to find the culprits. A group of around 100 suspects were rounded up, some of them only because someone at some point had claimed they were working with the Israelis. There was a lot of pressure in Iran to punish the culprits and the intelligence ministry in Iran, instead of doing its job, used torture and such means to coerce a bunch of false confessions. But in the midst of this investigation, the intelligence branch of the Iranian revolutionary guards became suspicious of what some of these people were saying. Some of it just didn't fit information they had about the scene of the crime etc. They did their own investigation and decided these suspects were innocent and, eventually, after a tug of war with the intelligence ministry, all of them (except one who appeared to have been guilty and was executed) were released. One of those who was released was Maziar Ebrahimi, a Bahai who had been arrested because a competitor who had lost a bid against his company for a major contract had falsely accused him of ties with Israel. Maziar Bahrami didn't let the case go like that. He sued Iran's intelligence ministry, as well as Iran's official news broadcasting company, IRIB, for their role in his false detention before Iranian courts. To keep the case quiet and under wraps, that case was quickly settled by the intelligence ministry and Maziar Ebrahimi was paid a settlement to keep quiet about what had happened. But recently Maziar Ebrahimi, who had moved since to live outside of Iran, gave interviews about what had happened to him. This has, in turn, caused a huge uproar in Iran....

Bad things do happen in Iran sometimes, but the bad guys aren't always the one people in the West assume they would be. Some of Iran's most corrupt figures are associated with the reformist movement. Some of Iran's best and brightest belong to the competing camp. And both have their share of good as well as bad between them.

The report below touches on the case below, as with all western reports, doesn't tell the story quite the way it should be told, but touches on enough of the facts for you to follow what I have said. The actual story is of course given by Maziar Ebrahimi in his interview with BBC Persian service.

Iran’s Spies Are at War With Each Other
As international tensions rise, two different branches of the Iranian security state are increasingly butting heads.

The US invaded Afghanistan... Israel invaded Lebanon. Don't you remember Ariel Sharon's attempts to take over the Litani , Hasbani and Wasami Rivers in Lebanon?

Wrong, Lebanese Shia like the Lebanese Christians were original supportive of Israel. It was Israel's actions which changed that and drew the Shia to Hezbollah and eventually the Christians to Hezbollah. That is the creation of Hezbollah was a direct result of Israel's occupation of Lebanon and all the hell that created.

Yes, the very unfortunate Lebanese people have suffered immeasurably from grasping Zionist machinations to a greater degree than most of Israel's neighbors especially in the South where curious children & farmers are still being wounded or killed by lingering cluster bombletts left over from Israel's 2006 humiliation.

I spent about a month exploring the archeological wonders etc of Beirut just before the '73 War broke out. In addition to outstanding food & wine the mixture of Arabic & French Colonial architecture was stunning. I was lucky enough to make friends with one of the locals who showed me some of the out-of-the-way places and gave me a place to stay.

Regrettably, Lebanon has been cursed by the "Neighbor from Hell" since, as you said, 1948 but the regional Zionists have coveted the Litani River Basin since the early 1900s:

    "ICE Case Studies"
    http://mandalaprojects.com/ice/ice-cases/litani.htm

EXCERPT "Although there is not an armed struggle over it (The Litani River basin) now, it has been involved in armed struggles in the past (in the 1967 war, and in 1982) and it is conceivable that in the future the struggles over it may become armed.

Chaim Weizmann, head of the World Zionist Organization, wrote (around 1919-1920) to Prime Minister David Lloyd George that Lebanon was "well-watered" and that the Litani was "valueless to the territory north of the proposed frontiers. They can be used beneficially in the country much further south." He concluded the Litani was "essential to the future of the Jewish national home.'"CONTINUED

LOL, even the legend told by the US of Abbottabad included references to kidney dialysis machines being in his room or on the compound.

He also had Marfan's Syndrome. He was buried in accordance with muslim traditions in 2001, and the regional media talked about it.

Seal Team 6 did not kill him, but the gullible western media believes that it did. So do you. Being naïve usually means one is also gullible.

I do put the blame where it belongs--on the Tel Aviv criminals who attacked the USS Liberty and so many other innocent people.

Why? The Jews had been gone for a thousand years. What on earth did the Ottomans owe them?

According to Ottoman statistics studied by Justin McCarthy, the population of Palestine in the early 19th century was 350,000, in 1860 it was 411,000 and in 1900 about 600,000 of which 94% were Arabs. In 1914 Palestine had a population of 657,000 Muslim Arabs, 81,000 Christian Arabs, and 59,000 Jews.

Sorry.. you have been duped by conspiracy websites.

    1. New life for an old rumor: Was bin Laden 'Marfanoid'?
      https://www.nbcnews.com/health/body-odd/new-life-old-rumor-was-bin-laden-marfanoid...
May 11, 2011 · But bin Laden didn’t have deep-set, downward-slanting eyes of those with Marfan syndrome. He had no skeletal deformities and no evidence of heart problems that might have resulted in an aortic tear or rupture. There seems to have been no sign of the dominant genetic disorder in his children, Dietz said.

    2. 10 Facts That Prove The Bin Laden Fable Is a Contrived Hoax
      https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/05/10/18679374.php
Intelligence experts and former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto stated on record that Bin Laden had died from Marfan Syndrome in 2001. Many other facts indicate that Bin Laden was not alive at the time of the recent raid, maybe he was kept in the CIA freezer for the years after he died from Marfan

What statements - by what senior officials ? - You give no support for this claim - which is what I mean when I say you have no clue what you are talking about. Without a link or something - how do I know you are not just spouting some of the propaganda koolaid that is spoon fed to the masses on a daily basis ?

If there was "state sponsorship" by Iran - in any significant amount - these groups would not be firing unguided home made rockets - they would be firing cruise missiles. There has never been this kind of sophisticated - game changing- military technology used against Israel by these groups.

You are also conflating Lebanon - a sovereign nation - (Hizballah) - with Hamas in Gaza and the West bank.

There has not been a rocket fired in to Israel from Lebanon since 2015.

If Hamas/Hizballah was being armed and supported - like the Al Qaeda, ISIS, and other Islamist Jihadists in Syria were being armed (in part by Israel) and supported - the problems for Israel would exponentially increase.

If you look at a map - you will see that there is a huge border shared by Lebanon and Syria. If Syria (or agents operating out of Syria such as Iran) wanted to give Lebanon serious military technology - it is very simple and Israel has no way to prevent this.

The fact of the matter is that this has not yet happened. If Israel keeps up with the illegal strikes in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq - this may well happen.

By the time that Christ was born most Jews were living outside Palestine.. in Damascus, Persia, Aleppo, Alexandria, Rome, Elephantine Island , Anatolia, Libya and all around the Med Sea.

    Be careful of the lies.

Jews are not a race. Didn't you know that?

Arab Jews left Arab countries in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973.. It wasn't exactly a stampede. You should brush up on your history and definitions.
