‘Islam is RIGHT About Women’ flyers spark concern in Winchester

Did the economy crash in 2014? Were any Gays actually stoned, in an Islamic sense? Keep in mind it was a Muslim who shot up a Gay nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people. How does that compare to this guy in Oklahoma?

I wasn't aware of that. Crime wasn't that much of a problem among people during the Great Depression. Of course there was Bonny and Clyde and such, but they were the exception rather than the rule. But at that point in American culture the people didn't expect the government to look after them and give them 'free stuff'..

They have every right in the universe to preach their evil, filthy, ugliness; they have no right at all to act upon it. And they certainly have no right to violate anyone’s property rights by placing an intellectual bowel movement on that which they do not own.

Its the top four countries by Muslim population - Indonesia, India, Pakistan & Bangladesh & its not especially odd.

Of those five women three were daughters of the first men to rule their nations after independence, one was the wife of a former leader and the other a daughter of a former leader (seeing a pattern). Three of those men were assassinated, in one case with most of his family (the daughter was overseas at the time).

In South Asia dynastic politics is all powerful. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka have all been dominated by particular family political dynasties for large chunks of their post-independence history. The women in question are/were undoubtedly sharp political operators, but they only got their chance because of the power of family-based political machines.

If you are looking for some wider significance you won't find it, though you are right to point out the ongoing failure of America to properly represent women at the highest levels of government. That is sadly more difficult when you have one political party that thinks having 90% of its Congressional delegation made up of white men is somehow 'merit' based. That said, American women are better off then most women in the nations listed, in most cases spectacularly so.

 

Women do need to be put in their place tho....

They have a bit too much freedom and are still not satisfied, they should have never been allowed to vote....
