The Kurds are one of our closest middle eastern allies. They did the bulk of the fighting against ISIS. They fought against the Taliban and Saddam's regime.
Turkey is Russia's pocket, and Russia wants the Kurds destroyed, because the Kurds opppose Russian control in the middle east.

Turkey is also one of our closest allies. We have an Air Force Base in Turkey. However, we are losing them to Russia.

Thing is this is the second time that America has screwed the Kurds....first time was by Daddy Bush regarding Saddam Hussein.
Our credibility among the Arabs and muslims in that region is pretty much shot. Israel is more of a liability than ever.

ISIS is dead, the clandestine terror gangs are undoubtedly still with us. You don't fight asymmetric warfare symmetrically

They're back in now. that's the only difference. We are all acting as if this is a really big deal, and it is for the people living there; but for the rest of the world it's actually worse. The Islamic State no longer exists as the distraction from the mission of world terrorism it has been. We in the West are in far more danger today than we were just a few months ago.

I realize the Russia-Kurds talking point is one of the newer dumb talking points, in a lame attempt to tie Russia collusion to this crisis (and every crisis). Russia doesn't care about the Kurds, Assad does and Assad is Russia's ally.

Turkey is our ally, far more than the Kurds are. I'll take you seriously on this when you demand that Turkey leaves NATO. Otherwise it's really hard not to judge this entire hysteria as phony.

Sure, republicans who are Dems in disguise. Let’s face it, with 12 million more D’s then republicans, all they have to do is fight through the voter suppression efforts. Cheaters are tough to beat.

By my count it's the 5th time we've screwed the Kurds, if you are counting this latest withdraw of 50 soldiers as "screwed."

We over think this. We are trying to judge the actions of a self motivated idiot. No, we should kick Trump out of there so both factions have an idea what’s going on. We don’t make crazy decisions over night. Trump , the idiot savant doesn't have a clue. He’s like leaf blowing in the wind, until he sees a profit

Exactly ! The scary part about it is, they almost never deny it.
It can be Mexicans, Kurds or Jennifer Lopez......
and it’s, build a wall, send them back or let them die.
Now a white domestic terrorist, that’s another matter. “Some are good people.” Yah, sure.

yes, and often the people in power are religious and believe God told them to do it... Like with Bush Jr and his two 10+ year wars

but I agree, wars happen over resources like oil and land too

he tweeted that the USA could head back quickly and help if needed and also tweeted that he would punish turkey economically if they attacked - has he kept his word on either?

Is it like registering for the draft? Do they give you a card? Do you go down to the courthouse and declare you want to register?

I'm not registered that I know of. I'm not loyal to republicans, I'm only loyal to good policy and RESULTS.

You could kill every last ISIS and ISIS-like member and sympathizer in the world. And in short order the Book will make more.

Either you get off the pot and go to all out war to win and control Syria, or you just stay constantly constipated hoping something magically good will happen, and keep complaining because nothing good happens.

And it almost all has to do with policies adopted well before Trump came to power.

Nearly 90% of registered republicans support trump. The math you’re defending upon doesn’t support your argument. You have no clue how solid Trumps support is. It’s no more solid then Bush which melted away like ice in the Sahara when his recession hit. You have nothing to hold onto but Obama’s economy.

The gop tax cuts and huge deficits from BUSH and now Trump will take their toll, like they always do, where the debt ridden government sucks money out of the private sector of which the majority of jobs come from small businesses with little buffer.

Nine of the last ten recessions have played out this way....republicans still can’t add and still vote for their non science and ignorant economic plans. Fortunately, we recover under liberal economies because even republicans love socialism.

Under republicans, 20k people die each year, including children for lack of healthcare. Under republicans, we’d have no medical science. We’d be praying to a God for cancer cures. Under republicans who always get in the way of science. ,thousands more will die each year in weather related climate change disasters.

How can we do that if a single ISIS follower remains alive? That is the implication I got from your posts. Please clarify.

probably gonna take time, but pretending we won, and they don't exist anymore just is not the facts as they do still exist

Nazis existed after we declared victory after WWII. Did we not actually win WWII?
