Contest what? I hardly ever contest anything. Why would I ever wanted to contest nonsense?

 

Simply branding my entire post as nonsense without solid point by point proof tells us you don't have the courage or the intellect to offer valid criticism of it. Once again you're really not contesting the facts of it.

Lol meanwhile you're admitting that because the economy is supposedly in good shape it's perfectly OK for Trump to defy are Constitution, our Democracy, the rule of law, and the Houses constitutional impeachment process. What a twisted trade off. That's why: You like the strategy of Trump claiming he's innocent while interfering with documents and witnesses requested by the House and ultimately the American People.
Most Americans will not trade off all of our country's institutions and rules of law for a supposedly good economy. Once again ask Nixon.

The polls in 2016 for both Brexit and the Presidential election said the outcome would most likely fall within a certain range. And guess what? Both results fell within that range of outcomes.

And even if they did not, there is a massive difference between a poll that tries to predict the future and a poll that tries to measure current sentiment.

The support for impeachment polls are measuring that sentiment right now, when politicians have to make decisions without the benefit of just waiting another year to see if trump can replicate his inside straight victory on backs of ~80,000 votes across three states.

 

Pollsters get the answers they want, regardless of whether they are predicting or measuring sentiment. These polls are intended to create sentiment, not measure.

I would bet money Trump won the popular vote last election. Ever wonder why Hillary didn't take any legal action? Because democrat voter fraud would have been exposed. Hillary was soundly defeated. Destroyed. A complete loser.

I think the dems will be in for a surprise if they attempt voter fraud again in this election. I think Trump has the drop on them. I can feel it in my bones.

That first statement is the statement that the losing side invariably says when it knows it is losing. Mondale said it. Dukakis said it. Bush 41 said it in 1992. Dole said it in 1996. McCain said it in 2008. Romney said it in 2012.

 

Maybe, but that doesn’t make it inaccurate. A poll today means very little — a ton of variables could be introduced within a year.
If another terrorist attack happens his popular support would likely skyrocket like it did under Bush, ultimately leading to a very unpopular president being elected. If republicans get fed up with trumps antics and decide to actually listen to the evidence in his impeachment causing his removal the variables have a drastic change.

I agree to a large extent, but the the point I often make is that politicians - particularly those in the House and Senate - do not have the luxury of waiting a year to see if poll numbers will change. They have to make decisions based on the currently available evidence and that includes the most recent polling information.

 

BINGO. There's the rub, right there.

 

Considering the damage to America that Trump could cause between now & November (or January 2021), I don't agree that the election is the ONLY poll that's important.

 

Same as or beats Obama before 2012. Can you say second term.
