Maybe no respect, but he gets things done. Last year he got NATO to cough up 100 billion dollars to shore up a weak Alliance. This year he went in having the hottest economy on the planet while Europe struggles. He is right, NATO and Europe needs to figure out what they are going to do with thousands of ISIS fighters if they don't want to take them back.

You have to be kidding. NATO is nothing without the U.S. and they know it. Why else would they cough up 100 billion dollars when Trump said if you don't build up the Alliance we are pulling out. The Last thing Obama told Trump is N. Korea would be the biggest problem he would face coming into office. Today he got four prisoners back. Bodies of our war dead returned and no more threatening to nuke us. They accused Trump of kissing Putin's ass and who did the kissing?

Definitely no respect and the amount of money he got for NATO was not any more nor did it get delivered any faster than what NATO would have received without the President of the US being openly mocked by the world.

That's your opinion. Well having the hottest economy on the planet I guess Trump gets the last laugh. They all wish they could be in the shape America is and he did it in less than three years. I just heard France is changing their pension plan. Sort of not got enough money to pay for it. To many give aways and to many lazy workers. High taxes chased to many of the rich away.

In no way in hell did Trump ride on Obama's coat tails for this economy. This was Obama's economy.

Apr 27, 2014 · Economy Recovery Has Created Far More Low-Wage Jobs Than Better-Paid Ones
How good were the 10.9 million jobs under Obama?
    Money.CNN.com/2016/11/04/news/economy/jobs-under-obama/...
Nov 03, 2016 · CNNMoney breaks down what kinds of jobs have been created and ... Almost all of the job gains under President Obama have been in so-called service jobs,

The deep recession wiped out primarily high-wage and middle-wage jobs. Yet the strongest employment growth during the sluggish recovery has been in low-wage work, at places like strip malls and fast-food restaurants.

In essence, the poor economy has replaced good jobs with bad ones. That is the conclusion of a new report from the National Employment Law Project, a research and advocacy group, analyzing employment trends four years into the recovery.

“Fast food is driving the bulk of the job growth at the low end — the job gains there are absolutely phenomenal,” said Michael Evangelist, the report’s author. “If this is the reality — if these jobs are here to stay and are going to be making up a considerable part of the economy — the question is, how do we make them better?”

The report shows that total employment has finally surpassed its pre-recession level. “The good news is we’re back to zero,” Mr. Evangelist said.

But job losses and gains have been skewed. Higher-wage industries — like accounting and legal work — shed 3.6 million positions during the recession and have added only 2.6 million positions during the recovery. But lower-wage industries lost two million jobs, then added 3.8 million.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/2/part-timer-nation...
Aug 02, 2013 · Fully 77 percent of positions added to the market in 2013 have been part-time, in contrast to the positive economic news making the media rounds, according to payroll reports released in recent weeks.
"There are now 1.2 million fewer jobs in mid- and higher-wage industries than there were before the Great Recession, according to data from the National Employment Law Project. In contrast, there are 2.3 million more jobs in lower-wage sectors than before the recession," according to CNBC. Nor is there the hoped-for renaissance in American manufacturing. We have some 300,000 fewer manufacturing jobs since President Barack Obama took office and 1.5 million jobs below the pre-recession level.

The Trump Manufacturing Jobs Boom: 10 Times Obama's Over 21 Months
The Great Recession officially ended in June 2009, six months into former President Obama’s first term. The economy continued to shed jobs until the following March. Manufacturing was particularly hard hit, with almost 2.3 million manufacturing jobs—some 1 in 6—lost between January 2008 and March 2010.
As is the case during recoveries, jobs bounced back, with seasonally adjusted nonfarm employment expanding almost 12% from March 2010 until January 2017, when President Obama handed over the presidency to Donald Trump.
But during the same period, manufacturing employment grew only 7.7% with manufacturing payrolls virtually flat in the last 21 months of the Obama administration.
We were told it was the new normal.
At a town hall in June 2016, President Obama famously said that some manufacturing jobs “are just not going to come back.” He went on to mock then-candidate Trump by saying he’d need a “magic wand” to make good on this manufacturing job promises.
Months later, as the shock of a President-elect Donald Trump was still being absorbed, New York Times columnist and economist Paul Krugman tweeted on November 25, 2016, “Nothing policy can do will bring back those lost jobs. The service sector is the future of work; but nobody wants to hear it.”

“The number of people employed in the United States hit a record 157,878,000 in August, the 21st record set under President Donald Trump, according to the employment report released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics,” Susan Jones reports for CNS News.
“The unemployment rate held steady at 3.7 percent. For blacks, the unemployment rate dropped to a record low of 5.5 percent last month. And for Hispanics, the... Unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in August, which ties the record low set earlier this year.”

“It’s been a lost summer for the Washington Post,” White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham and Principal Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley write in the Washington Examiner. “Despite record-setting accomplishments in record-setting time, data shows the news coverage of Trump has been 92% negative. The most egregious and dangerous forms of this bias thrived this summer at media outlets like the Washington Post, which routinely masquerade opinion as news.”

A whopping 266,000 jobs was created in November, with 54,000 manufacturing jobs created. All the while Canada lost jobs. Economist are blown away and Biden predicting a recession.

Stanley Black and Decker closing China plant.... moving to ...

    Chinese Co, moving to Ohio
His company, Fuyao Glass, has invested over $1 billion stateside, according to the Post, the most significant move of which is opening its U.S. factory in the Ohio town of Moraine, a suburb of Dayton, back in October. The glass maker is re-purposing the town’s former General Motors assembly that had been standing empty since late 2008, as the Dayton Daily News reports.

According to Ohio TV station WDTN, the plant now employs a workforce of almost 2,000, and Cao expects that the fully operational facility will employ up to 3,000 workers.

    https://fortune.com/2016/12/22/us-china-manufacturing-costs-investment/

More Chinese companies moving to U.S.

    Tianyuen Garments Co.
In October of last year, Tianyuan Garments Co. acquired a defunct 100,000-square foot metal fabrications plant in Little Rock, Arkansas and announced a $20 million investment that will make them the first Chinese manufacturing company to manufacture clothing in the US. The company is refurbishing the facility set to open later this year and plans to employ 400 workers to produce clothes for brands like Adidas, Reebok, and Armani.

    Sun Paper Industry
Another big announcement from a Chinese manufacturing company in the past year is from Chinese paper products maker, Sun Paper Industry. They recently announced a $1 billion investment that will create 250 US jobs at their new bio-products mill in South Arkansas.

Local and state governments in the US are able to offer incentives to foreign companies that tip the scales in favor of moving from China to the US. Many Chinese manufacturing companies are now realizing that the lower transportation costs and taxes are making it more profitable to do business in North America than in Asia. As the trend grows, the Chinese companies who provide so many manufactured goods to the North American market are finding that employing American workers is the most profitable method of production.

It's an opinion shared by an overwhelming majority of the world.

The cost, including the president being mocked openly and vehemently by other world leaders, associated with obtaining the "hottest economy" is simply too high.

    Great point.

And, that is a microcosm of the Entire Trump Presidency.

The "Cost" is "Simply Too High", in terms of Lost International Prestige, Turning the USA into a Laughingstock, and making a Mockery of the Dignity of the Office.

One can't just dismiss everything that Trump does with "The Economy's Good". :smh:

I can care less, how they feel makes little difference to me. What I wonder about is this. I am afraid it has come to Party being more important than country with millions of Americans. I have been both Democrat, Independent and Republican. Was a Democrat from Kennedy all through Carter. That is when I switched to Reagan, switched again to Perot ( I was against NAFTA) Switched again to Clinton and then to Bush. I have no Party loyalty. But for years my five siblings were all Democrats. My Brother was even three time union President of our Local. None are Democrats today. This is not our Father's Party. It's nothing like it use to be. Kennedy would never recognize it today, still you have millions of Americans that will vote for what the Democratic Party was, not for what it is today. I can't understand that. I know many don't believe in open borders, allowing illegals, sixteen year olds and mass murders voting I know they don't believe in reparations for slavery. They don't believe in transgenders in women's lockers, bathroom, showers and sports. They don't believe in giving illegals free health care and Social Security. Many are split on health care and free college. But just how much can you be against and still vote for a party over just a few things you do believe in and so much you don't? I know many hate Trump, his personality leaves a lot to be desired. But what he has done for this country in just three years is mind blowing. Economist can't believe it. It's just not the economy. He has fixed so much, I don't think many Democrats can be against most of Trump's policies, even though they hate him personally. I can't help but believe it's mostly Party. We are married to the Party, good or bad.
