That is a (non-existent) risk that I gladly embrace.

    Merry Impeachmas!

Are you that guy I see standing on the corner waving the red flag with the sickle on it? Your only half of the country. We are the other half that lawfully elected Trump the President and will do all in our power to keep him President from the likes of the cry-babies and deep state radicals.

Not sure what "corner" you are referring to, but I can assure you that's not me...

I'm more affiliated with the 60.5 million who outvoted the 50.8 million in 2018

At no point do the supporters of Donald Trump add up to be "the other half" of the country. Even the ones who can actually add.

Don't think the CBO makes those calls. They analyze the budgetary impact of proposed legislation. But, I could be wrong...cite your source.

We're more than half of the EC, which is working exactly as the Founders intended.

What happens to your confidence if the Senate decides that they will vote in secret?

And, understanding that the EC might occasionally make a mistake, added the impeachment clauses as well.

Your opinion, which will be decided by the Senate.

That is the opinion of the GAO, not binding on the Executive Branch. This is a dispute between branches, not different than when they said Obama broke the law. The OMB disagrees with that conclusion.

Not for political reasons. 7 of 8 House managers were calling for impeachment long before the Ukraine excuse.

Welcome to our new banana republic. I pity the next POTUS facing a GOP Congress.

Not a word of the above from the breathless CNN 'newscasters' yesterday.

Would this be the same government agency and their hench people that found no fault in Obama no matter what laws he openly violated? Asking for a friend.

Precisely for political reasons. That's why the maximum penalty for conviction on impeachment is removal from office and prohibition from holding any public office in the future. Think of it as a vote of no confidence.

I asked a friend for the answer to your friends question. She told me that Obama is not the topic of this thread and you should get your stuff together...

She also mentioned the Trump administration has now been formally accused of breaking the law on a topic Trump has already been impeached for.

That's the news here on planet Earth.... Greetings to your friend!

The GAO dinged Obama for violating this law on several occasions.

    Please tell your friend.

He used it for the purpose of making sure the taxpayer dollar is protected from corruption and abuse and Pelosi sent over an impeachment that is laughable not solid and concrete and in fact contains no impeachable offense and now the Democrats are crying for the Senate to do what they should have done in the first place. It is entirely political and goes back to the fact Trump beat Hillary and the Democrats still can't stand it.

And at no point in that video tape - or ANYWHERE ELSE - did he link that threat to the investigation of Burisma Oil.

A civil violation at best and one every President in recent history has had similar charges.

"(CNSNews.com) - The Government Accountability Office concluded in a written opinion published on Oct. 11, 2011 that President Barack Obama’s White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) had violated two laws in its dealings with the People’s Republic of China......

....The Obama Justice Department argued that the White House could take the actions it did in its dealings with China—even though they contravened the language in the appropriations law—because the law as applied to those actions was an unconstitutional infringement on the president’s power to conduct foreign affairs."
    https://www.cnsnews.com/article/was...ma-white-house-violated-law-engagements-china

OMB has made the same case and the fact is the money was dispersed if anything it would be a slight monetary fine on the Executive Branch. More mountain/mole hill.
