I am not into spreading panic, but the idea that this can be contained in the US seems to be unrealistic to me.

 

He fired most of them, tried to cut direct funding, and did cut a lot of indirect funding to the agencies best set up to deal with this.

As stated before, there is no vaccine but feel good about the fake or fictitious vaccine that your govt is going to give you. They are going to sprinkle everyone with pixie dust and everything will be okay. Really, just because it's you and they all know just how important you are compared to everyone else.

 

*eye roll* really? Yes, critical thinking would suggest that nobody should take this lightly. Trump had no idea infected individuals were allowed by HIS ADMIN to be brought back to the US. The main areas that were designed to combat something like this were shut down by Trump in 2018.

All it takes is one or two people getting passed that 'containment' and you'll have a serious serious problem on your hands. My point was to not simply go 'Well Trump says he is on it, so I don't have to worry anymore'. It wasn't about bias per-say, but more about the blind loyalty to Trump that some folks use to avoid thinking about what could go wrong if he is wrong (which he has a habit of being).
