We don't want Il Doggo to starve to death if the CoronaZombie Apocalypse hits us. We need 500 rolls of toilet paper, lots of bottled water (don't want to be drinking tap water during an Apocalypse), enough dog food for a year and of course, generators for our smart phones.

    Did I leave anything out?

Hand sanitizer, peach aloe. Don't want the stinky bleach smell.

I have to tell ya, the media has gone all out in making people panic just to make Trump look bad. And what's their solution? A bread line communist and a guy who puts the Dem in dementia.

You can't hardly store enough water to make it through as the curve gets flattened on this COVID-19. Unless everybody dies at the utility company and the at the electric company that supplies the juice for the pumps, you're going to have perfectly good potable water. Even Flint, MI, has now replaced every pipe in the city and the water is good, and they had more than 100 million in federal money left over to go on a wild spending spree for basketball courts, political favors, and such.

We got a Jackery with 100 watts of solar but we bought it last year for camping, before COVID-19 was even in the world. It can run our small frig overnite that holds 15 bottles of water, and that's a real damn luxury at 100 degrees F., plus it's very hurricane handy.

We're a week from the equinox and the leaves will be back on the trees soon. Big leaves are not nearly as good as toilet paper but you can get by, albeit all the lower branches will be stripped of leaves. And if the newspaper keeps coming you got a sufficient supply.

But panic makes the world go down.

Now there's a permanent solution with one capital and installation cost, and you're done except for maintenance costs!

Apparently I was wrong and people are eating the dog food themselves. This is why they need so much toilet paper.

    Great.

Well Biden will be the President at this time next year, so I hope that you are good with that.

Anyway, any sort of "panic" can be traced to Trump's initial indifference to the gravity of the crisis.

The same people that fought for a Tickle Me Elmo are afraid of running out of TP. How did Americans get this stupid?

That being said, I always have several months of supplies in my emergency kit.

Has a test ever cured anyone yet? From what I've been reading, most cases are extremely mild and some people don't even know they have it. Yet the hate Trump 24/7 media has the country in a panic.

These grocery and drug store companies must be laughing all the way to the bank, mass doomsday hysteria may as well be christmas to them.

I doubt all the sports leagues out there are willing to lose this much revenue (massive) just to mess with trump, and I seriously doubt that Italy is shutting down the country to make him look bad.

So I would suggest that the media is doing fine with the virus itself, but also doing their standard anti-trump rhetoric about his response, some of it justified, and some of it just because they can't help it.

FWIW, his initial response about the usa was dismissive, which didn't help his cause, he could have done better.
His television address was a bad speech, one of his worst deliveries IMO, he should have done 4-5 takes beforehand and released the one that didn't suck.

It doesn't bother me a whole lot, I ignore him for the most part and I certainly ignore the media whenever possible so I usually miss his blunders and also miss the raging commentary on the blunders.

stores won't see a big difference IMO, if people buy up tons of TP and bleach and canned soup it just means that for the next 6 months it will be hard to sell much of that stuff, it will balance out.

drug companies, not sure, unless they have a cure, how can they make money off this?

Hospitals will be cleaning up I assume, and anyone that can properly fund and time the market bounce back, which eventually will come. So Buffet will do well I suspect :)

I assume it will all add up for them by the time this passes, many fools and they're money haven't quite been parted yet. All they need is the specter of a national quarantine and the panic buying will go into overdrive. Images of army trucks and people in hazmat suits getting plastered all over the news would also be a good way to coax more money out of the customers, wouldn't surprise me at all to see that conveniently show up soon.

If people just did their research there are long lasting foods that are better and cheaper than dog food, and you can get them at Winn-Dixie or most any grocery store. You don't have to order from online stores that specialize in supplying preppers.

Trump cares about the seriousness of the virus and the media incites panic by saying Trump says we're all going to die.
