Ok, the outer shell of the virus is made of fats and protein. Dishwashing soap like Dawn is designed to break up fats and oils. If you have a washable mask you can clean it in the sink, washing machine etc. just add a lot of Dawn or a similar product to it. Use warm or hot water, like you would use cleaning your dishes.
They use Dawn to clean birds or other animals during a oil spill.
What most people forget, the eyes, one can get the virus through the eyes, too.
That's why we, my employees and I use face-shields. I use mine when ever I have to be in the public.

Not feasible. We've already done significant damage to the economy at this point, let alone closing down until the end of April, let alone closing down beyond then...

 

This virus is objectively worse than the flu in nearly every single way and the only reason that this virus may reduce in severity by the end of April is because society collectively agreed to engage in extreme forms of social distancing.

If your "normal life" includes activities where you already engaged in social distancing like hiking by yourself, then by all means, live your normal life. But in order to keep millions of Americans from dying, society must shut down the economy for a lengthy period of time.

 

We disagree and he did lie when he said he acted to get people off the cruise ship as soon as he knew Americans were onboard.

Most of the time I'd figure he's your governor and his actions are pretty much your business, but not with COVID-19. The irresponsibility of NYC mayor DeBlasio in not closing NYC schools contributed to the total number of cases in NY and no doubt around most of the country.

Tell that to the people who got COVID-19, if they're still alive. Maybe Gillum would have done the right thing despite his personal shortcomings.
