You don't get it, you need to prove intent for a conviction, to stop and search (or detain someone else for the police to do the same) you only have to have RGTS otherwise without a mindreading device you'd never stop anyone. They had knowledge of a crime, he fitted the description of the suspect and was fleeing the scene.

The point is that a known repeat belligerent thug had been harassing the neighborhood repeatedly , but didn’t get shot dead until he decided to be a belligerent thug once again , AND grab hold of a gun held by a citizen legally
trying to conduct citizens arrest.

We arrested your neighbour and dad even though they never fired a shot and denied them bail even though we had no grounds to in order to put more pressure on you to cop a plea. You go to prison for a few years and the mob don't riot"

The point is... McMichaels was an incredible lousy cop. He lost the authority to arrest, wasn't allowed to wear his gun, drive the car of the police district, to even wasn't allowed to wear a badge. We got a person just looking like him participating in a nazi rally. We got him not being aware of a CCTV vid of that day, but racially profiling the only black man he sees running who entered that construction site that was frequently visited by all kinds of people.... to start lynch mob with at least his own son and neighbor, chasing him around for 4 minutes, with their guns out... cutting him off while closing him in from behind, blocking him, and going full on a false imprisonment. That is illegal, and even a black man is allowed to defend himself against this.... It is so, since them lot LOST THE WAR.
