You get the vaccine I will pass. The only flu vaccine I got was by force when I was in the military

Sure, Dems hate it so much, they obey the constitution and have only one conviction to over 100 for the GOP n modern times.

Absentee balloting is different from mass vote by mail schemes. Have already reported the mass problems states are having in the primaries that were just held. How did you get it, did you request it or was it an automatic send to your last known address? What if you don't get your ballot in the mail? What if it gets lost in the return. Do you have to show an ID to vote in person?

My post was pretty self-explanatory. All the answers to your questions are in there.

Except, yes, we have to show ID when voting in person. We received the offer to request a ballot because we are on the voter roles. We haven't gotten them yet. As I said, we only got the invitation yesterday.

We got our Florida vote by mail order forms yesterday. We can get them, and if we choose to go to the polls, all we have to do is bring that ballot with us, so they can destroy it. If we show up without a ballot, we will not be allowed to vote in person.

If we lose it, we don't get another.

So it’s the democrats Who want control over everything who are againsti A woman’s right to choose ? So it’s the Democrats who want to require voter ID at the polls. Glad you cleared that up.

What is your issue with showing an ID? I need to show ID to get certain OTC drugs. I need an ID for all sorts of things that don't make sense. Ensuring people only vote once seems to be an excellent use for an ID.

ah, only a few. Generally you don’t have to show an ID.
Not when you preregister. That goes for getting medical treatments, Very few things require an official ID after you’ve applied or registered.

Even a credit card is not an ID. It has a number you can memorize and still buy goods. I never have to show an ID when picking up Prescription drugs. You generally don’t have to show ID for most things you already pre registered for.

Once you take out a loan and ID the application, you never have to show an ID to make payments. Geesus, you don’t even have to show an ID to take money out of a bank once you establish an account which is a registration. You jusT produce an account number verbal or type it in at an atm. They are NOT IDs

    Go ahead....keep guessing.

Wow - I have never had a medical procedure without showing ID. Every time I meet a new doctor, the first thing they ask for is my license and insurance card.

    - drive, rent or buy a car
    - rent a hotel room
    - buy pseudoephedrine-based products
    - Adopt a pet
    - Get a fishing/hunting license

    The list is long.

Specifically, what about providing an ID, to prove you are an eligible voter and have no yet voted, is objectionable? Do you want everyone in the country, citizen or not, to just be able to wander around town to different polling places and vote as many times as they want?

You really have to educated on the difference between absentee voting and mass mail-in voting or just trying to buy time?

    No they aren't.

So it was it an automatic send to your last known address. What if you moved last month, out of state, and someone else is living there or the landlord is coming by to check the mail and they get their hands on the request?

What if you don't get your ballot in the mail? What if it gets lost in the return. These are the problems we are seeing in Georgia and reported earlier in other states.

So you have to show an ID at a polling place but not to receive a mail-in ballot or mail in back.

No. Stop misquoting me. We received an invitation to REQUEST a ballot. We did NOT get a ballot automatically. We just got it yesterday. We haven't filled it out, yet, so there's no way we got the ballot, yet. I don't have all the details, as of this minute, because we only got it YESTERDAY.

YES I KNOW and acknowledged it was a REQUEST after you clarified. I asked about the process

So it, the invitation, was an automatic send to your last known address. What if you moved last month, out of state, and someone else is living there or the landlord is coming by to check the mail and they get their hands on the request?

What if you don't get your ballot, or invitation but more concerned when ballots are mailed out, in the mail? What if it gets lost in the return, what if your request gets lost for that matter. These are the problems we are seeing in Georgia and reported earlier in other states.

So you have to show an ID at a polling place but not to receive a mail-in ballot or mail in back?

I'm not completely clear on the process, yet. There are three registered voters in this house and each one of us got the invitation. I assume that once they send us one, they will mark us as having it and not send another. I'll do some research, but this doesn't seem all that complicated.

Educate us. It’s your phrase.. “Mass mail in voting” I find it no where in any voting regulations. Tell us what it is.....if you can. Other then With Republicans, who has actually succeeded in an organized fraud using absentee ballots.

You are making up stuff. .
That’s not true. If you have preregistered, it’s name and DOB.
Your making up stuff and didn’t read my post or are really confused. You don’t seem to understand what registration is.

It’s called, registration when you first get a hotel room. After that, you just give your name and or room number to get all services. Same with voting.
Getting any OPERATING or hunting license is a registration process.

    You are confused.

Sorry to disappoint you, but my first election was in 1984 and I had to show ID then, and I've had to show ID every time. You seem to be against people ensuring their vote isn't stolen.

That’s a state law. It’s not a national law and you are confused. Showing an ID of sorts when voting is required in more then half the states. But all states require some ID to register where it is needed. No federal commission has found any difference in fraud between states that do or don’t when voting . You’ll have to show them.

    It’s totally irrelevant

I just don't understand the problem. How are you harmed by showing your ID to prove you are you and not your neighbor trying to steal your vote?

Oh, “just trying to buy time.” Is that another voting procedure ?
So, why is absentee any different then “ mass mail in voting”. Do you have a problem with everyone of voting age stationed away from home, all mailing in to their home voting precinct in mass ?

What is your problem with all people at risk for disease, voting absentee ?

You have yet to define what an ID is. It varies from state to state. You use ID term like everyone has the same. Our state uses several options....during registration.

you have yet to show why it’s necessary to show some ID which you can say what it is, during voting. Our state considers it an ID, if you are registered and can repeat information asked for during voting.
