Why are Republicans so opposed to vote by mail?

No I don't and nothing needs to be further substantiated.

You can't read between the lines?

    10 GOP = bad
    20 Democrats = good
    30 goto 10

NYT: Let’s face it — the mail-in state primary was a disaster

In Florida, Nevada, and Pennsylvania too.

How badly has the state of New York handled its vote-by-mail primary?
Three weeks to figure that the incumbent lost by SIXTEEN POINTS?

That race is no one off. The New York Times reports that some races have only a handful of ballots counted, after 3 weeks, and that outcomes of many of the primary contests have yet to be determined, after 3 weeks. The NYTimes warns that this would be an unmitigated disaster in Nov.

    AFTER THREE WEEKS:
The problem is sending ballots out to every voter, requested or not. The legal challenges resulting haven’t even started yet, which means it will take several weeks more of wrangling over every mailed ballot before the counts can be accepted.

Photo ID is available from the Michigan State Secretary of State. It does not grant driving privileges.

Honest elections are discrimination against whom? Don't we deserve to have FAIR elections instead of allowing sloppy loopholes which criminals exploit?

Since the avatar says this poster was banned, I address this to anyone who agreed with him.

How can Congress say it has had a budget when it has operated on continuing resolutions for many sessions?

In the event of an APPARENT tied election, we can safely say both sides will fight like caged wolverines over each and every ballot. Left and right alike. Good ol'-fashion down-'n'-dirty American political brawling, you betcha.

That given flatly conceded, what if they can't find flaws and that single one vote DOES sway that election?

This is America. C'mon now. Stranger stuff has, is and will happen.

I hope that your avatar incorrectly states you were banned. Apparently the software here goes wonky like that.

Anyway, the left habitually over-inflates every tiny issue, running up to an election. Every scare tactic, every plot, every projection they thrust upon others but manifest within themselves...all standard-issue, off-the-shelf manufactured hysteria. And then they manufacture one they get caught at, as you point out.

    Excerpted from that same source...

On April 28, by a vote of 6 to 3, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a facial challenge to Indiana's voter-photo identification law in the case of Crawford v. Marion County Election Board. At issue was whether Indiana's requirement that voters show government-issued photo identification before casting a ballot, with certain exemptions, violated the U.S. Constitution. The 2005 Indiana law requires that a voter present ID at the precinct on election day, with absentee voters and residents of state-licensed nursing homes exempted. The law also exempts anyone unable to afford documentation to obtain a photo ID (typically a birth certificate) and authorizes a provisional ballot for those lacking the ID. The voter who casts a provisional ballot then has 10 days to bring a photo ID to an elections official. The same procedure applies for those who claim a religious objection to being photographed.

    The boldfaced part is mine.

I also support the statement above that the STATES set the rules for voting.

You have a pin number assigned to your name and account and/or a password. Not ponderous.

They aren't against voting by mail. They are against the wholesale mailing of ballots. Absentee voting is fine.

It's an obvious farce. Anyone that wants an absentee ballot can request one.
