Sen. Tammy Duckworth responds after Tucker Carlson suggests she hates America

What is pathetic is how these cowards who never served this country will accuse someone who sacrificed every thing for their country as not being patriotic or hating America.

 

Really, the woman served her country. How about Tucker?

You MUST respect all of my opinions, and you can't criticize me.That's how it works, right?

 

No we don't have to agree on opinions, but you have a right to it. My problem is how do you accuse someone of hating America or unpatriotic when they have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country when your coward ass hasn't done anything.

 

No we don’t have to agree and we don’t even have to respect each other’s opinions.
But it would take a hell of a lot for me to accuse you of hating America if you served in the military.

Given everything Duckworth sacrificed in service to her country, do you really believe she hates America?

 

You answered your own question. You're allowed to criticize anybody and everybody, because we all have a right to our opinions, and we don't have to agree.

I myself would never suggest that my opinions are beyond reproach because of my military service, because that would be a cowardly cop out. That's exactly what Duckworth did, and it was cowardly.

 

Duckworth has such a vanilla personality that people invent reasons to fume at and hate her.

 

She deserves thanks for her service.

Now that we have that out of the way-our nations leaders, regardless of service history impact all Americans and are therefore fair game for ANY criticism.

She's a poseur and passed up the opportunity to help veterans.

There were undoubtedly Trump supporters amongst the rioters. I haven’t seen any information showing political party affiliation of people who committed illegal acts (have you?) but given the numbers there is little doubt that a variety of people were involved.

But that isn’t what I was talking about. I was talking about things like dividing the country, reducing confidence in media and federal institutions like FBI, CDC. About lowering America’s status and influence on the world stage.

Destroying America while his supporters cheer him on every step of the way. They must hate the country.

Nothing wrong with criticizing someone's opinions, but how do question someone's patriotism or love of their country when they have made the ultimate sacrifice when you haven't. I notice the right runs from that question.

 

So how do you question a disabled veterans patriotism or love for their country, especially when you haven't done anything but talk about it.

 

As I said, that’s not what I was talking about. I was talking about trump’s daily attack on the fabric of the country. His attack on American values. He is destroying the country every day and his supporters cheer him on every destructive step of the way.

Run from it? I've answered this question like 5 times already.

Anybody who espouses hatred for basic American values, as Duckworth, a rabid drinker of the DNC America-hating Kool Aid, certainly does, deserves to have their patriotism questioned.

Service to country doesn't immunize one from criticism, and that's a standard I do hold myself to also.

 

Because she signed on voluntarily for both her military service AND her political career-and her political career impacts ME.

George W Bush served in the reserve-and lefties gladly criticized him.

Nobody is fooled by your attempted defense.
