"Asset" "agent"....to many they're the same thing. Especially when put in the context of today. "Being groomed" certainly doesn't indicate "asset" as you described it that's for sure.

As for my person thoughts on Tammy herself? I don't know her. So will not say either way.

I haven't. Do they put Tucker's statement into context? Does it make it seem less likely that he was saying Tammy hates America?

If we were pretending what he said didn't exist, then I wouldn't be calling him a piece of **** for saying Tammy Duckworth hates America because I would be pretending he didn't say that.

 

For the same reason Trump and a lot, (mind, certainly none on this board nor even most of them in the world, but certainly some) of the Trumpers do. They are basically little lily-livered craven cowards themselves, but they are also the very epitome of chicken hawks They want to go watch First Blood and fantasize about how THEY'D get that Rambo hippie, or Apocalypse Now and root for Colonel Kilgore. They just LURVE their war and sending others off to die, while fantasizing about how many enemy and all their families they would ruthlessly dismember with their bare hands if not for those bonespurs and how they realize that they have this little problem of ******** their pants with explosive diarrhea if someone even THINKS of actually sending them within a thousand miles of somewhere actual combat was carried out in the last Century. This creates a certain conflict in their minds and they resolve it by hating people who've been in REAL combat and going on about how they don't like POWs and actual disabled veterans who dare question the Dear Leader and Man of Bronze who nowadays IS America in many Trumper's eyes

Little "Tucker" is an especially hateful example of the type. He is the very quintessence of a twerp. The bow ties he used to wear on National TV were possibly the most sissyfied thing imaginable if not for his name. (My apologies to anyone really named that if there is any such poor bastard, they certainly have enough problems without having the same monicker as the Most Fairyfied Trumper)

 

None of the prime time personality shows on any of the three “news” channels are real news shows. Tucker has chosen to be the biggest passive aggressive jerk who insults people who don’t accept invitations to come on his show. People who behave like that are pathetic, no matter what their politics are. For example, Chris Matthews was also a real jerk to his guests sometimes, and I don’t blame some people for not wanting to give him the time of day either when he was on the air.

 

I used to actually like Tucker, but he’s taken this toxic personality shtick and run with it to a very dark place. And then he acts like we’re supposed to feel sorry for him as if he’s the victim when the people he acts like a priggish bully toward won’t come on his show? Pathetic.

If you believe Tucker was lumping Senator Duckworth in with far left progressives, then yeah he was talking about her and questioning her patriotism too.

The desire of the left to remove statues is based on what Orwell said,

Calling "have a discussion" a dog whistle is no different than calling "All Lives Matter" a dog whistle. Are you consistent on this? (Hint: pointing to other people's inconsistencies does not justify your own.)

It's good to know that only one side in American politics engages in Orwellian tactics, and the other side never does that.

 

She is no more on the far left than Trump and his supporters are far right fascists (and therefore hate America).

By lumping her in with a group that he says hates America, he is saying she also does. That is a reprehensible thing to say about someone who lost her legs while voluntarily serving her country.

Bad news for Duckworth she can't run with Biden. She was born in Thailand.

 

Why not? Her father was American so she was born American and eligible to be president.

 

I'm pretty sure the OP was putting emphasis on the sacrifice she made for her country, and how that contradicts the notion of her hating America.. but go ahead and run with your idea
