    There is much historical precedent for federal DOJ action when localities are corrupt and refuse to provide equal protection of the law on their citizenry. As in, in ever blue state big city right now. The mayor of Tombstone was notoriously corrupt, but Wyatt Earp - being a Federal Marshal - was able to go in and enforce the law without needing the mayor's permission.

    The guy has balls. Let's hope the cities that need help want help. It seems like mayors in some of these cities are more focused on placating the terrorist elements in their cities to push a far left agenda at the cost of their citizens.

    Trump is using his options. If he doesn't then I hold him responsible. The Left may not like it but that's OK.

    It's more than okay. The more they holler the more Trump is doing right. It's part of the "tantrum culture".

    Sad the trump admin ignored inner city crime until election season. They did nothing for most of 4 years.

    As has been stated here on PF frequently, black on black crime has been rampant in big cities. Why hasn't Trump (or any other POTUS for that matter) called in the big guns before? Is the timing, now, because of the fall out from George Floyd, or is it because its an election year. Either way, the optics are bad.

    How old are you? This stuff is nothing compared to the late 1960s and early 1970s stuff. Hell, everything all together from all the different Floyd protests doesn't even add up to the Rodney King riot in one city.

    LeGend was killed in his bed by small arms fire directed at his apartment - been going on for years, especially in Chicago.

    You however placed this in the context of a non-recognition of authority like we've never seen before, thereby convoluting black on black crime with multi-racial protests.

    I'm simply pointing out that you are facilitating the hype with your "nothing like we've ever seen before" statement.
