We did not flatten the curve. We started to see a decline and then areas of the country opened before a single State had met even the minimal measurements for entering the phase one of the federal re-opening.

That is what caused the virus to spike again. People resuming their normal behavior by going to bars and restaurants.

In fact, the only studies that I have seen to actually study whether the protests created any spikes found no link because - interestingly - even more people refrained from going outside because of the protests.

The sad part about this entire hoax is all the private and charter schools opening. Almost every institution that doesn’t employ union teachers on their faculty is opening. Probably won’t be too much longer until we have total segregation in our school system and race will have nothing to do with it. Public schools will continue to contain all the low test scoring liberals and charter/private/stem schools will refer to their students as conservatives.

 

24/7 lies and scare tactics combined with Americans refusing to answer polls at the risk of Democrats fire bombing their homes make polling a challenge these days.

The only reason to keep schools closed given that the virus poses little threat to children and there is little risk it will pass from an asymptomatic child to a teacher is that schools are polling places, Democrats know they will lose unless they can cheat, and in person voting makes cheating more difficult.

 

I seriously doubt that since the "science denier" protests took place less than a month before the BLM protests started.....unless you are claiming the virus concerns would have been gone before the month of May. Since the virus concerns are not really gone world-wide, I doubt the "science denier" protests spread the virus to the point which prevented reopening business by the end of May. Besides....according to the left, protests for a "good cause" does not spread the virus.

That **** is some dog **** logic given that schools could still be polling places even if they are not used for schooling. What? Did you think your local rec center stops being a polling site if the bridge club can't meet there tuesday nights?

 

Quote the differences in the CDC guidelines. That is your position, right? That Trump trashing his own CDC's guidelines caused them to make changes despite the fact that head of the CDC straight up responded by saying that there would be no changes to the CDC guidelines.

 

I see you don't want to talk about comparing the US against the six countries that you selectively chose as being your guiding light, but OK.

American students, on the average, did not improve last year on international tests and I would be willing to bet that, on average, American students are going to perform even worse this year and the next. That is solely because the virus necessitated a complete disruption to their normal patterns and if we had succeeding in dramatically reducing the influence of that virus, then the chance of students being able to resume their normal patterns would increase significantly. But we didn't. The virus is getting worse - right now - in at least thirty-two States.

 

I see I hit the nail on the head or you wouldn't be so defensive. No school district is going to call in the facilities staff to open schools for one day.

 

Our kid will not be returning to school. Florida is on fire right now. Our new cases, new hospitalizations and new deaths / day are skyrocketing like crazy. We're running out of ICU beds.

Well, the thing about this disease is that we know that increased exposure increases the severity of symptoms. Grocery clerks are wearing masks, and are behind Plexiglas, and spend no more than 5 minutes with a customer. This is vastly different than kids sitting next to each other all day, about 3 feet apart, etc.

Also, how to you send kids to school without letting them have lunch?

 

i certainly can appreciate your concern in Fl at the moment, in particular Miami Dade area ..not every state has those concerns
