Those events are the opposite of fascism. Fascist states are police states. What the NG did at Ohio State was fascist. What the protesters did was not.

I don't know whether I'm left or right, but it has been painfully obvious that if one accepts dictionary definitions in judging human events, this country has been fascist since before Donald Trump took office.

Amazing that anyone can call the kind of dereliction that Seattle's mayor pulled as reasonable- allowing thugs to take over part or her city and destroy it- then call the people who want to investigate those actions fascists.

You seem to think that considering yourself a dissident entitles you to commit arson, looting and assaults without consequence. Such people should not and will not be poisoned. They may be shot, as is the right of any individual defending his life or property against violent criminals. Had there been martial law imposed on this trash (that did around $2 billion in property damage with tacid consent of city administrators) then conventional law would have been suspended, and the whole lot of them would have been taken out of circulation- ending the whole sorry mess.

This is a civilized nation. IF you are unable to act, including protest in a civilized manner, then you should be treated as uncivilized, and not allowed to play with adults. How a person acts is a choice they make- not one government imposes on them. Government imposes penalties for not imposing self-discipline on yourself, and harming others.
I know, how dare those people object to my throwing tantrums and setting things on fire to punish the world when I don't get what I want. It's just inhuman.

We know that Democrats are taking part in the riots, donating to organizations to bail out the rioters, and setting rioters free, without charges, after the injured police have arrested them

Meanwhile in 2016, Hilary and Sanders supporters ran around in mobs numbering sometimes in the hundreds, attacking Trump supporters on the streets. Trump supporters then and now, have never done that.

Uh no fascism is violence in pursuit of political goals. Aka barracading doors to a building and setting it on fire as was done by Black lives matter protestors in Portland. Political opponents are people following the normal political procefures established over the last 200 years.

"Fascism" is currently the most overused word in the liberal lexicon. I wonder how many liberals even understand the definition of this word. So lets look at the definition and see if it applies:

1. Nation and race over individual - Does not apply. Liberals are the ones preoccupied with race over the individual.
2. Centralized autocratic regime - Does not apply. Many States and local governments are controlled by liberals. The House of Representatives is controlled by liberals.
3. Dictator - Does not apply. Trump operates in accordance with the Constitution. More than one of his actions have been overturned by the Judicial Branch of Government.
4. Severe economic and social regimentation - Does not apply other than State and local liberal suppression of businesses as a claimed measure to control Covid. Liberals complain that Trump has NOT implemented social and economic regimentation.
5. Suppression of political opponents by force - Does not apply. The liberals are the ones using force, e.g., street mobs to suppress political opposition.

My own theory regarding the constant use of the word fascism sort of parallels the Godwin theory. That plus the old adage "Monkey See, Monkey Do."
